Wheels will be ariving on tuesday! Tires are in already.

Picked up the last moldings this weekend at the Iola swap meet! Now they are off to the polisher to get a few little dents taken care of and shined up!

last week of being busy and will try to get front end together and the wheels mounted and next week we are going to hit it hard!

56pickup 07-12-2011 08:13 PM

The wheels came!

Sneak peek! ;)

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...nowmo8/028.jpg

We put the valve stems in and took the center locks off the wheels to get the tires put on. We were going to have the tires mounted today but they guy was out of the shop, So instead we took the time to start putting the front end together!

pics are not the greatest as there was not a lot of sunlight!

I will have some good pics tomorrow of the wheels and tires as they are mounted up!

56pickup 07-13-2011 08:30 PM

Got the Toyo Proxes 4 Tires mounted and balanced today!

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...wmo8/004-7.jpg

Front end is complete now except for the swaybar that just came in. We are working on getting the chassis rolling so we can drop the body on next week some time! We will be steam cleaning the rear end to get all of the grime and stuff out per instructions and assembling the rear end tomorrow!

56pickup 07-14-2011 03:34 PM

Rolled the chassis outside today and steam cleaned the rear end! Got all the grime out of it in preparation to start assembling the rear end so next week we can roll the chassis under the body for the first time!

Finally cooled off some here so we could start working in the shop again!

Started cutting the rear floor out some more:

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...wmo8/008-6.jpg

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...wmo8/009-6.jpg

have to notch just under the firewall so the frame can sit all the way down and it should be very close!

I need a project name! What do you guys have in mind?

fleet 07-22-2011 02:59 PM

Tyler,

Great looking manifold/ITB setup.

(Finally a Ford in a really old Ford)

Thanks guys! I love the way the wheel tucks! however it is still not low enough for me! ;) I have the shocks in the middle hole for right now so i can always move it to get it a little lower and when the weights in there we will be in buisness!

Hung the fender on today

Tyler,

That was quick.

I wondered how hard it would or wouldn't be to get a 5.0 Coyote.

BTW what kind of feedback have you been getting from potential buyers of your Merc?

Gus told me that out of 12 wrecked 2011 gt mustang's he has had 9 of them!

The merc went down the road to my grandpa's brother. Worked out good! The car was worth every bit we were asking for it and no one would even offer or anything on the car. The market is extremely tough to sell cars in right now unless you can steal it!

56pickup 08-07-2011 06:05 PM

This weekend my grandpa and i headed to Louisville for the NSRA street rod nationals and had a blast!

Bought a lot of parts! Gus from Cleveland pick a part called me and told me he got the mustang and asked if i wanted the motor. I said Of course! He said it had 1200 miles on it so thats perfect!

Had a fantastic weekend and cant wait to get back wrenchin on the 55!
