Where can the rest of the details/specs on this car be found?

That's a lofty claim considering I've never seen that car at any event in this scene.

Hey Jeff,

What a bargain eh? I phoned the owner and the car was built by a shop near his home in Blind Bay B.C. called Spa Hills. The owner seems like a good guy and the parts list is top-notch but $245,000 is beyond my car budget.

Take care,
Chris

My guess is that it will be for sale for a while. Funny thing is that when guys post cars for sale for $250k you never hear what they end up selling for...

Well if you're Travis Barker it's $140k.. the price I typically toss out is $120k.. but like all things in life it's a bit negotiable.

The funny thing about my car is although the car was built 4-5 years ago almost all of the parts are new as a function of my job.

Heck, a full Baer floater system just showed up.. two weeks ago we put in a new Centerforce twin-disc cluct..

I had a couple of people seriously interested but they were outside of our "family" and I got the vibe the car would just rot in some collection.. sort of made me a bad seller (ie, I didn't try or pursue it).

Love my car, love driving it, but I have ideas for other things. I have a few driving events coming up and I think that will complete my "bucket list" of events for my car to compete in.. will be easier to let go at that point.

Let's keep it more friendly.. say $1000..

But what would the event be?

Drag and then a road course? Bring your car and your best driver and tires?

I guess I should at least ask what engine you have, but it's sort of irrelevant at this point. :)

Where are you located? I will be racing in Nebraska, Kentucky, Tennessee and California in the next month..

Would be a good way to show off your ride.. and it would be fun, after all, this is all about fun :woot:

And broken I'm still fast sucka! Well, fast for me :)

I say bring your car and best driver.. if not it becomes a driver contest and not a car contest.. or have the same driver pilot both cars..

Either way, I'm easy.

This is true.. he could bring it to the LSFest in KY or the Run To The Hills in TN.. kick ass there and then go to the OUSCI at SEMA and run against the best in the land.

Has he ran the car before? He has a lot or air intakes... sorta makes me a bit nervous.. ;)

And for the record.. my offer is in no way a slight against your car.. I've seen your build shots and it looks like a nicely done Camaro (and a full frame even). About the only part on your car I would change are the wheels. They just don't flow with the rest of the car's serious nature.

My car isn't the fastest out there, but if you could kick it's butt then that would certainly add a bit to your car's pedigree..

Anyways, let me know and good luck with the sale.

I just posted my car on e-bay. With the exception of it being an automatic (4L80E), it may fit the bill. Here is a link.

Build threads are on several camaro boards (i.e. camaroforums.com)

Hey Rob,

I did exchange PM's with Brett and think his car is very cool. If I was looking for a 2nd gen. my search could be over. But, since I am searching for a first gen. (something) the search continues....

Take care,
Chris

smcox1 08-08-2011 09:14 PM

Have you ever looked at flemmings ultimate garage? They have some nice cars and you could probably find one there.

Then, about 10-12 months ago I posted another WTB ad and ended up buying a Scott Whidby Camaro- absolutely awesome car (picture 2). I have sold the Camaro and am now looking for a replacement (tough act to follow) because I cannot live with an empty garage. So, if you either have or know of a really nice, complete Pro-Tour car for sale please shoot me a PM. I will be checking PM's daily and will get back to you as soon as I can. Generally, what I am looking for is:

1st gen. Camaro or Mustang
LSX motor (or latest gen. Ford motor) - could be open here
mini-tubbed
5 or 6 speed
completed car, ready to roll

As for price, it will depend on the car and can range from 50K to 100K-plus, again based on the car.

Many thanks in advance, :lateral:
Chris

This car is coming on the market in a few weeks because the owner has his eye on a new project. Let me know if it strikes your fancy- Adrian 8003660668

Saw that.. but the 700R4 has got to go! I guess at $45k there's enough leftover for the LSx/T56 swap anyway right?
