That is the same car. His nickname is SW and goes by "Streetking" here and at PT.com. If you think that one is cool, you should see the rest of his garage.

Scott, you should be in the photo business. Digital camera? What name brand, model etc. are you using? :hail:

I don't know they could be all trade secrets. LOL

That shot can't get any better than that. killer :burnout: :lateral:

JohnnyGMachine 02-02-2006 05:28 AM

Thanks Scott!!!!!!!

XcYZ 02-02-2006 06:42 AM

Charley gets full crefit for those shots. He sent them to me and I added them to the Mule's webpage.

Stuart Adams 02-02-2006 07:34 AM

Now if we can get his (Jackass) lazy butt to make some posters, LOL.

Speedster 02-02-2006 08:23 AM

Stuart- I'm all for that! Don't get these kind of shots everyday.
Hey Scott or Charley - I'll bet if you do an informal poll you will easily get enough members to make a good poster run. How 'bout it. Jody could add it to his Horton collection.

Speedster 02-02-2006 08:25 AM

Hey Stuart -
While you're on here, this was a question from my wife, but I am curious too now - what kind of mileage did the Alumin8r get when you drove it like old ladies do e.g. down the highway? TIA.

CAMAROBOY69 02-02-2006 09:16 AM

Thanks for the hi-res pics Scott and T/Y Charley for taking the pics. I used the 1280x960 as my current desktop. Fits perfect. :hail:

clill 02-02-2006 11:13 AM

If I had known everyone would like the pics so much I would have taken them at a higher resolution. Still crappy weather here so there might be another opportunity.

Stuart Adams 02-02-2006 12:05 PM

Bruce, since you asked about mileage, I don't want to hijack the thread but here goes my reply. I have no idea, LOL.

I put 7 miles on the car before I sold it!! The local chevy dealer friend of mine called me and wanted a ride in the car. So I drove to the dealership and gave him a ride. When we got back he looked over at me and said he wanted to buy the car, I was not expecting that response. I said I just got the car back from SEMA and he persisted on buying it, so I gave him a number , he said yes, that's it - SOLD. Literally went for a cruise and came back not owning the car anymore. Very strange, I have had alot of people ask me about the car, I didn't own it long enough to know much, other than it was fast, very fast.

Now Charley that picture is real cool. Make a poster with 3-4 shots in the same poster - that would be cool.

XcYZ 02-02-2006 12:27 PM

To make posters, the resolution needs to be on the ridiculous side. Most printers want the master art to be 300dpi.

However, a print of around 20" or so would be doable with a 7mp or 8mp camera.

I'm with everyone here, it would be awesome to have something done with the Mule - a print, a poster, something worth matting and framing. John McBride and I were just talking about how cool something like that would be.

Thanks Mike , Last night I went back out and bought the magazine. The
mule is one awesome ride, but i am so darn partial to Black!! I fell in luv with the car as soon as I seen it in the Magazine  I like the 67 & 68s alittle better, but man SW ride is nice too!! Sounds like he has some pretty exotic rides in his stable.
Dave

Stuart - Thanks for the info. Wow, probably never expected such a quick turnaround, but hey, there are surprises everywhere.

Charley - You have horses, they just all happened to fit under a hood. :)
Hey, maybe you or Jody know the answer to the question I asked Stuart - do you have any idea what the mpg was of the yellow camaro ? My wife had posed the question and I have no idea. Thanks.

clill 02-02-2006 06:08 PM

I think before I had it Jody mentioned something in the 15plus mpg range on one trip. With it detuned like it is now I would think the mileage would be even better.

I think after tweaking his "lean cruise" map it got just shy of 18mpg driving up to my neck of the woods and back on about a 70 mile round trip. That's what I remember him him telling me one day as we were looking at a datalog in his shop.

I hit 19 mpg twice on trips of 100-200 miles, all freeway. Not bad for a blown big block at 75 mph cruise.

that is one of the best pics i have ever seen...........but it would be one in a million without the car :hail:

Speedster 02-03-2006 08:50 AM

Thanks for the mileage info guys. That is better than I expected. Isn't technology great - plus having people such as yourselves that know how to us it !! :)
