Gas cap installed. Have to make a flange on the inside that connects to the filler neck and fuel cell.

I'll betcha that wasn't the easiest place to grind the welds in. Love the vintage gas filler door. Are you going right hand drive with this build or left?

Hehe, yes it took awhile. Gonna be left hand drive as original.

Very nice build! No offense, but I think an aircraft style flush mount filler cap something like this would work better aesthetically.

Or you could use a Cobra style filler cap.

Thanks for the tip! As said though - no offense, but I really don´t care what others think is aesthetically correct or not. I like the cap and that´s why I put it there. Besides, it´s one of a kind ;)

badbu68 01-02-2012 02:54 PM

I dig it!

Snyggt bygge! Jag tänkte själv köpa ett sånt tanklock till min bil men det får bli till nästa gång :)

Nice build and I love that Filler cap :woot:

I like the cap:thumbsup: , looks a lot like Moal Competition Fuel Cap. Where did you get yours?

Openers 01-14-2012 11:50 AM

Haha, thanks everybody! The cap was made by a swedish guy who just started up a new machine shop.

elitecustombody 01-14-2012 12:00 PM

You think he can make one more?Don't worry,it's not for a Camaro:) ,but a little old truck

Openers 01-17-2012 02:46 PM

Fuelcell installation started with moving the two AN8s which gave me the opportunity to practice tig-welding. Small modification had to be done in the trunk as well.
