Okay -- now that's funny!

You two get hitched up -- and we'll figure out something BIG when we're all at a SEMA after the big date.

Aint that the truth! We heard it for years, 10 to be exact! People did slow down with that question after 7 or so years...so you have that to look forward to!

Congrats Todd & Kelli!!

Congratulations!!! Now you have a reason to build a second car (his and hers)

Good luck, marring my wife was the best decision I ever made.

Northcoastnovas 11-13-2011 11:17 PM

This is actually kind of sad.A woman that would wait around 10 years for a man to finally marry her,and a man to take 10 years to actually step up and marry her.I really don't know what else to think :( .Maybe congratulations to the both of you!:captain:

Payton King 11-14-2011 06:03 AM

Congrats!

Welcome to the dark side my young Jedi.

I would tell you about putting a penny in a jar for everytime you made love dating and take one out everytime after you get married...and the jar will never be empty.

Great!

My usual "advice" when asked about marriage is to reply -- "have you gotten out of bed and actually talked to each other yet?"

There was a study done -- there is a hormone that lasts 18 months -- once that wears off a date turns into a relationship.... It may explain why the AVERAGE marriage lasts a whopping 3 years... it takes the 18 months to get over the "hump" (pun intended) and then the newness wears off. :willy:

Since we KNOW that Todd and Kelli have made it past this period... this should be a marriage that lasts!

Ricochet 11-14-2011 06:58 AM

So we finally know that after 10 years you finally popped the question....I guess the real question though is...."Did she say yes?"

BBC71Nova 11-14-2011 07:04 AM

Congrats Todd!

Vegas69 11-14-2011 08:54 AM

Yep, she said yes. :unibrow:

I've heard the horror stories of marriage since I turned 18 and went out and got a real job. I'd rather go into this deal with an open mind and make my own life from it.

Payton King 11-14-2011 09:29 AM

I was only joking

Not the case in my house or many others, but you have to poke at the new guy jumping in and make him think/worry a bit.

I know this is jumping the gun here, but I was told...once you have kids you never sleep again, it is only a series of short naps. Mine are 11 and 9 and that is 100% true.

Track Junky 11-14-2011 09:44 AM

Ahhh....,Hmmm,......Horror stories,.......I'd love to tell you the long story and I hope you dont mind if I give you my experience in the short......

I made sure the the wedding cake was special ordered from Mexico, 10 lbs of finely ground spanish fly added to the frosting alone.........

After the reception, I rushed my wife to the car as my mother-n-law followed.......practically ran over my mother-n-law's toe's as I stepped on the throttle as she bellowed my wife name and I hear her voice fading away in the back ground, "Later mother-n-law, she's mine now, hah, hah, hah" I think to myself.

Just kidding. In all seriousness, in my experience, marriage is a compromise. We've had our ups and downs but I feel things got the best after 10 years probably due to not having much time for each other in the previous years. We were both 32 when we got married and we had 3 children back to back. Imagine having 3 kids in diapers at one time........definitley not easy.

We've been married 13 years now. Kids can shower and feed themselves now which makes things alot easier.

My advise, sit down with each other, discuss the future and plan accordingly.

Wish you guy's the best of luck!!

Nessumsar 11-14-2011 10:20 AM

Congratulations! That is great to hear Todd. I've been with my ol' lady 10 years on Dec. 21st, and married for 3 of those.

Kelli seems like a real catch.

mrr1999 11-14-2011 11:14 AM

Congrats,Todd. I'm all for taking your time. I "dated" for seven years before I moved forward.

Here's to a new chapter of your life. A long and happy marriage to you!

skatinjay27 11-14-2011 11:44 AM

Shouldn't parents have to pass a test before they breed?

 Yep, time to transition from Project "Payback" to the wedding, aka Project "Pay".

Matt@BOS 11-16-2011 08:52 PM

Congrats Todd, and Kelli!

This brings a whole new angle to the name Payback. I'm sure you're going to be doing lots of paying back for Payback.

Matt

Hey, Congratulations Todd!!! Glad to hear she's willing to make an honest man of you.
Now you can spend some more time and moolah on Payback (after the honeymoon) figuring out where to mount the child safety seat. Hey...... might as well plan ahead right

I found the perfect kiddie seat at the Ferrari store for him! It comes complete with roll bar mounts!
