We also had Carter revise the Rendering to the 18" wheel we are using and trying some different color combos as well.

Sweet, love these Rivs, so glad you downsized the wheels, much more proportional to the rest of the build!

fleet 01-19-2013 07:03 PM

Seems fairly close to this color.

Thanks.

Very cool how you've complimented the vehicle so well with the look you've given it underhood.

srh3trinity 01-20-2013 09:36 AM

I have to say it again, I love that motor. The color in the rendering will look great. Very rich and classy looking.

I think it will be quite the sleeper!

Great looking build, where did you source the wheels from I went to the Wheel Vintiques site and they only go up to size 15??

EBMC 01-21-2013 09:06 AM

Thanks guys!
Radlark, the wheels were purchased through Circle Racing http://circleracing.com/ I believe they have purchased the billet division of wheel Vintiques.

Those were built in house at EBMC. Earlier in the thread there is more details on those.

E.rodz 01-28-2013 06:46 PM

Royalworks 02-24-2013 01:09 PM

Loving this color

EBMC 03-02-2013 05:42 PM

In keeping with the factory theme, we decided to utilize the factory tank and modify for use with a late model Camaro fuel pump module and corner pickups...

We've been trying to adapt as many factory parts as we can lately to our builds. Since these are built to be driven, it is nice to have readily available parts in case of a breakdown on the road.

Tim M 03-13-2013 08:50 PM

Pics coming soon, the car is back at the shop, we started assembly today!

waynieZ 03-14-2013 04:07 PM

I'll be watching.

scholtmj 03-15-2013 05:29 AM

Beautiful car.

EBMC 03-16-2013 05:00 PM

With the front end off, the front radiator support/bumper mount transitions are getting finished. We'll be getting chassis powdercoated as soon as we finish exhaust which will be factory LSA manifolds going into 2.5" stainless with Magnaflow cats (yes cats!), x pipe and Magnaflow mufflers.

Dynamat complete....
http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps263f6b86.jpg

This trim was in such great shape, we just needed to run the stainless over the buffing wheel a little bit, polish the chrome and it looks great.

waynieZ 03-17-2013 10:33 PM

Very Nice!

EBMC 05-04-2013 11:23 AM

Weve been way behind in updated posts on all of our cars so I thought we would start with the Riviera. Weve been hard at it completing the frame mods, exhaust, interior, undercoating ect.

Detailing and refurbishing everythingl...

http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps41aa0feb.jpg

The exhaust system is SS 2.5". We incorporated cats into the system in keeping with the modern theme and to minimize exhaust smell. Being an X frame, it makes a conventional x pipe location impratical, so we decided to put it above the axle. We also wanted the largest mufflers we could fit with good flow and were liking the idea of a tranverse muffler appearance from the rear. (the two small straps on top of mufflers were for mock up, they were removed!) Its a tight fit, but will work!

http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/a...psfc147b2b.jpg

The frame mods are now done and it is off to powdercoating. We should have it back this next week and a rolling chassis soon after.

Cakeaholic 05-05-2013 02:09 PM

What cats do you run?

waynieZ 05-05-2013 05:30 PM

That looks slick!

Magnaflow cats, x-pipe and mufflers were used exclusively on this system. They took a big interest in this project and the car may be a guest of theirs at SEMA.

lwdwn1 05-06-2013 06:24 PM

Awesome Car. working on a 63 myself, cant wait to see this one done.

lwdwn1 05-28-2013 10:54 PM

Did you guys have issues fitting a 10" wheel in the rear?

zimsport 05-29-2013 11:49 PM

Is that x pipe exhaust going to do any good? Seems to me the X needs to be much closer to the collectors to do what its supposed to do....

With the rear suspension mods In our application, it fits fine, although with the stock coil spring/shock and control arm layout it may not. We didnt try

While true, the best place would be farther forward I talked with an engineer at Magnaflow about this and our conclusion was it will definetly still benefit, especially with the sound, which is our main priority.

EBMC 05-30-2013 07:40 AM

A few shots before we drop the body on today.......

Thanks for the updates. It is probably my favorite car on Lat-g.

This build is exactly what I'd love to do to my 31k mile '64 Riviera.

Excellent work.

Randy
