Geez, I checked this thread this morning and there was a page and a half. Did anybody go to work today? Yeah don't worry to much about it. The bigger a site gets the more diverse the crowd is and you always get a few outspoken people. BTW, you never answered my question on who did your fire paint? It looks great and keep us updated.

Brian,
You have a PM. Later. Shane |
You'll be lucky to have that wreck even running in 45 years Allen :D
Nice car Brian, I also don't care for anything over 18"s but the rest of the car is sweet. |

Weird $H!t...I justed looked for the post I got reamed in about my 70 at TC and it was gone too!!! Damn, we suck!! :D
45 days is a nutty schedule....mine start to finish will be about a year and three/four months as the car should be done in July/August and we got it last April. Rims are tough on Chevelles because their is just such a huge radius for the wheelwell. I mean it takes putting 20's in the rear just to make it look like your're starting to fill up the potential room. I'm running 18's in the rear of mine and 17's up front and even then I have concern about the amound of wheel-well opening in the rear. I was actually toying with the idea of contouring the fenders/quarters wheel openings to the radius of a perfect circle as to run parallel with the rims/tire. I'm going to mount the combo first to see if it'll have a really negative effect on the car's natural body lines... Be sure and post more pics as you move along. |
I must need glasses. I don't know how I missed that post completely. That is a nice Green. I have a 69 Firebird project that is close to that. Its Verado Green.

i think its update time for ya all. here are the valve covers....

That's cool!
|
Brian...I think you're doing a fantastic job on that car. I love the flames in the stripes, and I like your choice of wheels too. Since you asked our opinions...the only thing I would change would be to make the rear wheel a little shorter, 20" would be perfect. But other than that, eveything else looks sick as hell. Keep up the great work....can't wait to see more updates.
Now on to another matter...... Quote:
With that said, I think there are some great people over there, and I can honestly say they have been the biggest help to me so far in my restoration with PT.COM a close 2nd (only because I had more questions in regards to the restoration area than I did the modification area). I don't get along very well with DJD, but everyone else has been great. |

Really?!?!?!? Look for me and scott! :D :D :D |
Life's too short to parpicitate in overbearing, unpleasant forums.
Parpicitate? I think I mean participate. You know--to be involved with. |
You have a wicked Chevelle Brian. Build that Muthu E-X-actly the way you want it. I have asked some of the guys here their opinions on my 69 Vert (I'm doing something a little different).I should have the rendering completed in a few weeks and I'll want feedback then. Some liked it, other so-so. You'll find a lot of support here. Keep the pix coming.

Valve covers are freakin awesome!!! I love it when they match the car :)

From the owner of a green 70 Chevelle to another the car looks great.
Keep us up to date on the dash  |
i'll keep you all updated on the dash. the gauges are on thier way still and thats about all thats left. however about 6 things i really needed for the show are on backorder from everywhere. like drip rail chrome and tail light lenses. so i jumped on ebay and got some to make sure i will make the show. as of right now were working on the audio part of the car. its a simple set up with a crazy instal. kick panels rear deck and 2 12s. im using all Rockford components. some more bad pictures for you, but i said id keep ya'all updated. 25 days left tell show.......

well yet again its update time..... once again i relise some of you don't like stereos and this and that, but i feel if your spending all that time and effort on half the car, you shouldn't half-do anything..
this is the box thats going to house 2 12s.. http://pic16.picturetrail.com/VOL637...0/86463434.jpg this is showing how the side panels are going to fit up to the back panel... http://pic16.picturetrail.com/VOL637...0/86463388.jpg this is what fits into the side panel... http://pic16.picturetrail.com/VOL637...0/86463457.jpg this is the back panel that keeps it all clean http://pic16.picturetrail.com/VOL637...0/86463368.jpg all the side panels will be removable to service stuff thats behind them. its mostly painted but im going to carpet the floor of the trunk. |
