Well it's official I will not be able to make SEMA this year but please keep the tradition going. My first back surgery did not work out and I just got home from the second. I now have 4 titanium rods in my back and 2 plastic disk. It's going to be at least 8 weeks for recovery and 6 months with a back brace. I was really hoping to start a new project this winter but I think I'm going to get into RC's traxxas for a while. Mainly to exercise my new puppy.
Anyway have a great time and I'll be looking forward to next year with you guys. If you feel like picking up some cool posters and chokees for my shop let me know. thanks my friends and have a good time :cheers: I'll really miss the lateral g family.

Plenty! we went for sema/halloween last year and I suggest for those not going to the brewery to go down to fremont st to start your evening! lots of Halloween fun and the vegas halloween parade. If I wasnt having my first child in about 8 weeks Id be there for sure!

I will see everyone there! Just got on the plane, as usual (every year at sema time) it snowed last night so Vegas is a welcome break before I lock myself in the shop for winter and become anti social!

So am very happy, just booked flights so should be getting in Vegas early. Still need to get a couple tickets for SEMA, so wish me luck :) Anyone has leads on how I can get a couple? I have several friends on the business but sadlyt nobody registered, and this is a total dream come true.

Thanks for all the pics Curtis, almost like being there. Except for the women , drinks, all the food, prizes and giveaways. Nevermind going back to sleep again !

The sad part of this is that nobody from Lat G MANAGEMENT took the initiative to call ahead and make sure the place was staffed.

Personally I'd be happy to pay $20 or so and have some snacks served etc. and have a couple waiters etc to take drink orders. I dont know what others would feel about that?

Please call ahead and let them know. I hated when at the shop people would come in and say hey were gonna have a party of like 50 people here in about an hour what kind of deal can you give me on food! Lol

Thus my post. There was one bartender... And he had no clue we were coming!

This "event" was well known in advance. To me... It was up to Lat G management to make it a good event - which it was - but to take the reins and run with it etc.

That's my fault, I normally get there Tuesday and let them know what's going on. But in the past they never made a bid deal about just called another bartender in if needed . Sorry I was not there. As far as snaks go, they never really had anything unless I set up like 200 people minimum at 25.00 per person. I tried that last year. Ill figure out snacks for next year

Not really complaining Mark.... and it's not really your "job".... I was just saying that I think this is to the benefit of LAT G --- and that they should see the turn out and pick up the ball and make this a real get-together??


We have a whole year -- and it wouldn't take much to make this a little easier. People were hungry - and were leaving etc to get something to eat -- or we were eating really late etc.

Personally I hated to leave but I was so hungry I finally just had to go!

Did you by any chance check out the new restaurant outside? That is a possibility for next year. Ill work on it, I really enjoy doing it, I just slept on it this year. If I could get a head count that would make it easier
