I have never been to this show but we are looking forward to seeing all the incredible cars and meeting everyone . I have a few personal favorite features on the car and the glass is one of them as well. its going to be a sad sad day if we ever get a rock chip.. :(

Scott,

Here's my free 50% solution.

Nice thing is it will even enhance the '67's looks.

more test and tune, PS o-ring failure caused a little smoke, no big deal already fixed and cleaned up.. Mark Bowler has been AWESOME to work with as far as getting this 6 speed set up and dialed in and running to its potential. Bowler

Awesome build. How do you like the ISIS system so far? We are thinking of using it in our next build but have heard both good things and horror stories about them. What all are you using it to control?

We have the entire car controlled by ISIS, using the IMax touch screen, In reserve, In motion, etc. The first time installing the system is a bit challenging but the Tech support is great. disregard anything you may know about wiring and go into it with an open mind and be prepared to ask questions. its a great system and i would use it again. You will need to be very specific in what you want to control with the system, and more then likely you will need more then just the 3 cell kit. There is a learning curve involved but like i mentioned everyone as ISIS is very responsive and helpful.

Glassmaster 12-10-2012 07:23 AM

This car almost made me hurl.

Let me clarify I have been working 0n a 67 camaro for the past year thinking I was being inovative trying hard not to copy other cars . Then I saw this thread and this car it's nearly the twin to mine but to even make it worse I have to admit it's got a couple of mods I wanted to do but was afraid i couldn't pull it off. I am completly computer iliterate but if I can figure out how to post some pics. I think you will see the simularitys but mine is still in the build mode. So naturaly I love the car and" couldn't have done it better my self seems very appropriate".

thanks for the compliment, it is difficult to come up with ideas that have not been done before, I would love to see the progress on your car, especially the similar items you have noticed. Good luck with the build and get some pictures posted:thumbsup:

we look forward to meeting people at the Grand National Show in Pamona. as we have "officially" been accepted and also invited to the Autorama show in Sacramento in February, with all the testing and tuning done for a while we are now doing all the detail work that becomes ever so tedious, Interior is nearly complete and its time for a final polish on the exterior.. here are a few low quality photos of the car on the last test drive,

I must admit my favorite part of the entire car is the glass..

WSSix 12-14-2012 07:44 PM

The glass looks great. This car just flows well. That first picture is great. Congrats and good luck getting all the dialing in done.

Flash68 12-14-2012 08:30 PM

Bad to the bone.... nice to see some cars with the taller cowl hood!

Ron in SoCal 12-14-2012 09:04 PM

sds machining 12-15-2012 12:51 PM

John510 12-15-2012 01:33 PM

fleet 12-15-2012 01:53 PM

Scott,

Wow! :wow:

Agreed about the glass being the fav feature on your car.

Or, how 'bout the whole car? :unibrow:

Soon many pics of it will be here me thinks. :D

A few of the details are a bit hard to identify in the pictures, such as the black rockers and the exhaust tips. but i did find one more video from my cell phone when we were doing some testing and getting the 6 speed all dialed in. I am anxious for some decent weather so we can really get into the power a bit more..

I'll second that +1 for ISIS. I'm finishing up a rebuild on a 70 chevelle with tons of electronics. The original builder had the wiring so hacked it took wire cutters to get the dash out. I've rewired the whole car toe to tail with an ISIS system with the InMax screen and it is unbelivable! Definately a learning curve on the first one you do but after that it is easy. The guys at ISIS have been great with their tech support. I'm starting two new builds this year and they will both have ISIS sytems in them.

Incredible build ! Love it...

Scott,

Congrats on the awards.

Those few weekends here and there that you guys worked on it paid off, huh? :D

Please post some interior pics when you get a chance.

sds machining 01-29-2013 11:54 AM

thanks guys, we are still in shock winning 4 awards, we had no idea we would be in the running for anything, honestly to receive the "Best Overall Street Machine" is going to take a while to settle in, never once did we anticipate even being in the running when in company of such outstanding cars....We will have long lasting memories from this event, but mainly all the nice people we met and new friends.. we hope to keep the momentum going at the Sacramento Autorama next month..

geberhard 01-29-2013 12:04 PM

Congrats!!!!

I can't understand how I missed this thread but I saw this car at the GNRS, spent an hour looking at all the details as I fought off the crowd around it. Amazing car, congrats!

You're quite welcome! We didn't get to meet at the show but I wish we had as I hadn't seen this thread before seeing the car. It's cool that I got to see so much more of it here!
Our show schedule stays in the mid-west for the rest of the year so we won't be back to Cali until next year.

Lol, we all have been in your shoes working at what seems like a never ending battle, but keep after it man, take your time and do it right the first time, nothing comes quick or easy,

sds machining 03-19-2013 08:32 AM

it was nice to meet more great people right here at home as well as see some really nice up and coming builds that will be hitting the scene probably this summer. so much talent in the NW its unbelievable.

Looks like were going to Lafayette for the Street Machine Comp finals, we placed Best of Class, Outstanding Street Machine, and Outstanding interior Street Machine, we have acquired enough points to be eligible for the invitation.
Here is a quick video that was shot during the Portland Roadster Show this past weekend, scroll to the 2:08 mark or better yet view the entire 3 min video for some sweet footage of the show
