Any of you guys know of a good video package that can compress/resample video to a lower resolution for posting ? The files I took with the camera are huge. (14 MB and 43 MB). Thanks.

XcYZ 04-13-2006 08:27 AM

Bruce, I can take care of it for you if you can get me either a MiniDV or a VHS tape in the mail. :)

Speedster 04-13-2006 09:48 AM

OK Scott. I am going to check with Nelson first to see what videos he has. He usually has them cut down to usable size.
Thanks.

Race (Race Gas) High Boost, 160 lb/hr injectors, A1000 & TEC3 controlled Eliminator.

Are you kidding me? These guys are bick bucks! :hail: What are your general engine specs?

Hey Roger -
It's not been updated for a while, but click on "Project Freebird" here. It takes you to the members page that Scott made for me.

Hey Guys -
Thanks for all your feedback and comments. We're pretty happy with the engine combo. We were running it in the dyno room with open headers. Nothing like the sound of a screamin' V8. :D

Thats a nice engine setup!!! More pics!

Here's a couple more pics. The one with Tom in it was taken around midnight. He was wiped getting everything hooked up. Gives you an idea of the scale.

I agree the bottom one is unique to Firebirds. I'm casting my vote for the bottom one.

I know I allready posted my 02 but I think if you go the bottom one it will look a lot better the tall one sticks out I think i Kinda takes away from the car!

Here's a quick NRE dyno clip Scott compressed

Here is the 540 on the Nelson Dyno. Just a quick clip at idle.

Sounds awsome!

Is it too late to throw another vote in for the one on the bottom? Add the hood tack bubble as well, but I like the idea of switching the gauge to a boost gauge or soemthing a little different.

Wicked car by the way.

Bottoms are good:D I mean the bottom one. Nice Bird, can't wait to see it back together.

Speedster 08-29-2007 04:54 PM

Hey Guys -

Yeah, I went with the bottom hood, but it is 1-1/2" taller for clearance. They are working on finishing the inside with the Carbon Fiber. Getting closer. I am bringing it over to Frank's (Prodigy) this weekend. His buddy is going to make some custom interior panels for it that will clear the rollcage. Debating whether to cover in material or leave Carbon Fiber.

I like the 400 hood better.

im with the rest i like the gto looking one. a stingray hood would nice too.the hood tach is nice as long as you seal it right mine always fogged up and i hated it.

FETorino 08-30-2007 01:23 PM

Bottom one

Keep the firebird look don't make it a camaro. What a bout a version of the 69 TA hood graftted to your earlier 1st gen That hood was slightly taller starting at the front with two large square scoops. Could look more subtle even if you had to raise it a bit.

Speedster 08-31-2007 02:37 PM

It is definitely a Firebird 400 hood, just raised up in the middle for clearance. Got one of the "good" t/A wings from Frank for the back.

dave96dcm 09-02-2007 09:57 PM

I'm kinda late but Bottom one no tach, keep the gauges in the car :)
