Very cool build! Love the power plant but you need to make buddies with a detailer! That thing is going to be a bear to keep polished!!

Keep up with the pics.. It looks great so far!

GregWeld 05-24-2013 07:28 AM

Is it done yet?

Vince@Meanstreets 05-25-2013 12:49 AM

I think Dan is working on his projects thread right?? Isn't that right Dan?

G4CERAT 10-15-2014 11:34 PM

Back in the Game!!

Hello All...I'm pleased to announce that I started the project back up again. The Camaro has been sitting since May 2012. I've been at it for four Sunday's in a row. Every day is one day closer to completion. My buddy and I are keeping each other motivated. We both hit the shop every Sunday. George works on his 63 Nova and I work on the Camaro. We ultimately work with each other on both rides. I'll start posting new pics soon.

Thanks to everyone that's following my build.

:thankyou:

Flash68 10-15-2014 11:36 PM

Lets Roll Dan!!!!

G4CERAT 10-18-2014 11:54 PM

Apparently, I have some catching up to do on all of your rides and projects. You guys have been busier than me I take it?

G4CERAT 10-18-2014 11:57 PM

I'm always getting emails from all of your threads but I think I remember some dry spells out there. I don't think it gets any drier than mine though.. Ha ha

Winmon 10-19-2014 07:39 PM

Amazing build.. Subscribed.

G4CERAT 10-19-2014 11:21 PM

Welcome to my nightmare!!!

Worked on it today and discovered that nothing fits. haha I'm just brainstorming some ideas. Have to run reverse rotation on that oil pump. I have some ideas. The hoses are there for the mock up. I'm not too fond of the red and blue. I might run partial hard lines. I love black hoses with the black fittings. You can also catch a glimpse of the water pump with -24 fittings that I had Meziere make me for the Billet Specialties Tru Trac kit. There's a lot of Mods to get that water pump to work in there along with having to relocate the power steering pump. This is because, well,....nothing fits!:drowninga:

And yet another milestone achievement...The motor is officially not on blocks anymore! lol That motor was propped up on wood in that frame for the last three years!!!!

love this 22 gallon fuel cell!! It setup with a bladder and foam. They also mounted my Aeromotive pump inside for me. In theory I should be safe if I get rear ended...right?

My buddy George's Nova is coming along as well. We have a great time working on both rides every Sunday. We keep each other quite motivated all week long. He's had that thing for 20 plus years. He's doing all Detroit Speed parts on it with an LS3. While it's off the ground by a mile right now he wants that thing in the weeds...definitely will be nice ride as well.

Ok...Let's see what we can get done next Sunday!!!!

Thank you all again for the continued support.

georges510 10-25-2014 01:13 PM

Are those headers going to hold up with heat?!?!?

We'll see...I'm eventually going to have different wheel and tire combos depending on what I do. I think I'll figure it out when I finally shake it down.

I actually had a shaft mocked up with my steering wheel at one point through those headers before the motor plate was installed. I'm going to go with a Woodward Steering column and quick release. It's going to be tricky but I found a way to make it work. Don't worry, I'll post detailed pics.:)
