You have to decide for yourself if its love or hate. Don't put to much weight in everyone else's opinion unless you are headed to the auction block.

Killer progress in such a short window.

.

Rob, I hear ya. I just like to get peoples different views and ideas. This will NOT be going to the auction block

Trey, I worry the orange will be too much as well. I will definitely put the pieces in there and post some pics for opinions. I also do not want the car to feel like it is a Halloween theme with the black/orange.

I agree...

The last two 55 chevy's recovery room did were from the shop I worked at for 6yrs. They do great work. The ZL55 made the great 8 and the one most recently of Steve Harbison is a really nice car as well...

Well, it has been awhile since an update due to the fact of missing parts. When I pulled my car out of the previous shop I was told that all the parts were packed in the car and they were NOT, I should have pulled the parts out and checked before I took the car, Lesson learned. I have since made two more major purchases through MCB for needed parts before progress could continue. Matt and Kim have been great!!! Here are a couple pics...more to come later in the week.

Scott, I am pretty excited about this 55. Coming up with a plan will be half the fun. I think an aftermarket chassis will be out of the budget but would be sweet if I could afford it. The 55 is a 1 family owned car that has been in Texas its entire life. Been stored inside since 1969 when the elderly owner lost her license. Original everything. Will need trunk and floor pans but that is it for rust.

Please leave the outside of the 55 as is!!!

CornHusker4Life 07-28-2014 05:01 PM

My car has been coming along nicely but taking time due to parts missing/needed. MCB has been great at getting the parts I need fast and cheap. Now we are waiting for more parts. Going with the DSE battery relocation kit and there master cylinder/booster combo.

Car looks great. Paint really pops for sure. I think Nebraska Cornhusker red sounds good for interior. Red interior in a black car always looks great IMO.

Thanks Fellas! The glass is from Auto City Classic and is their smoked glass. The shop could not be happier with the glass and the aftermarket trim actually fit good Not great but what can you expect.
