I do that a lot but I don't think we are going to on this car we usually will punch die a piece and weld the pillar and cage together but its a bit to hard core looking for the theme were going for on the inside

tones2SS 07-30-2013 04:58 PM

She's coming along nicely Tom! Should be a killer build.

Nelson Racing 07-30-2013 05:54 PM

Maximus Octane on Demand

Heres the play by play on the twin tanks for the Octane on demand system we are incorporating in the car.One 91 octane cell and one 116 octane cell the computer will run on the 91 octane cell until the car reaches boost at 130 kpa I start to transition the second to come on injecting 50 percent race gas mixing with 50 percent 91 octane. So we will be able to run a much higher boost level in the 20 pound range but still run 91 octane for just cruising around town.

I thought this was neat to point out

We bought this material from McMaster Carr and water jet both it and the aluminum For fuel lids so we could incorporate the feed and returns and roll over tank vent threw it and still have access into the tanks

Awesome man. Good luck!

next69 08-02-2013 04:59 PM

Hey Tom, how is the development of the 4 cam billet small block coming along? I just seen the introduction video again on YouTube but I have not seen a dyno video yet. Killer stuff going on in California, can't wait to see this engine when you light it off.

Maximus rear package tray

Well here is some shots of us putting the cage bars threw the package tray into the trunk.and filling in the speaker holes because to be legal to go 8.5 in the quarter you need a sealed firewall and just some of our insanity making everything fit tight and metal finishing it.

If you could post some progress shots of the quad-cam I am sure there is an audience here. Keep up the killer work.

preston 08-18-2013 10:43 PM

Thanks so much for posting work in progress. Really helps my home builder approach to see how stuff is done. Love the ultra tight gap (or non gap) on the rear cage bars. Do you have any shots from cutting and widening the doors ?

MHORTON79 08-19-2013 10:57 AM

That widebody conversion flows so seamlessly. Very nice work.

What an amazing job you guys are doing on this.
Will be waiting for more pictures. :popcorn2:

Evan Iroc-Z 08-20-2013 06:22 AM

This is going to be one amazing car! Everyone knows the type of engines you turn out, now you are turning out a very unique Charger.

Ppd1979 08-20-2013 07:05 AM

Can't what for more pics!

novahollic 08-20-2013 08:34 AM

Looks amazing!

And you NEVER need to apologize for posting a lot of pictures. Keep 'em coming.

preston 08-20-2013 12:36 PM

Yeah that's what I'm talking about ! On my '67 Mustang there is a natural flat spot on the top surface of the door so it was a little more straightforward then what your guys did - in no way comparing my home built junk to your shop work though.

Plenty of fab pics is what we want ! No need to worry about posting too much.
You'd be surprised what helps us learn - even looking at the size and spacing of the weld beads, the spacing of the gaps, the length of the HAZ on the TIG welds, WHere and how you cut something, its all interesting.
