Man that looks great. Really digging the metal bed floor.
That firewall would look good in my '65 too. Is the M/C mount and the mounts for the inner fenders in the same place as stock? Could you make another one that I could get and weld in myself?

Looks great!

tubbed69 09-20-2013 02:11 PM

great work Rodger, really wanting one of these trucks now

waynieZ 09-20-2013 04:24 PM

Nice work on the bed floor. It all looks great.

tones2SS 09-20-2013 04:43 PM

Great job!!!

ironworks 11-25-2013 07:56 AM

Progress on this truck has been moving along pretty well. The engine compartment is looking awesome. We are working on some of the detail billet parts for the dash. We started building a really custom tailgate to flow from the bed sides. This should be a pretty bitchin when complete.

Doug

ironworks 12-29-2013 07:43 PM

Thx guys. I will see if I can get an update this week. Things have been crazy busy. We have more guys in the shop then ever before and more work then ever before.

Be careful what you wish for.

ironworks 12-31-2013 07:26 AM

The customer has had us working on another project for him, so things have been moving slower on the truck but I thought showing a glimpse of the dash and glove box we are getting ready to machine would be cool.

We are sending the parts out to be machined here in the next week.

Sinco 12-31-2013 04:14 PM

Wow, looks good Rodger, who designed it?

Doug

I guess its a combined effort with Bob Braga and myself. He did the Solidworks design stuff to my specs. Then I take these parts drawings to the machine shop.

I'm not sure things have ever been slow around here.

But we are now up to 8 guys plus my wife and I. We have more cars in here then ever and only one is mine. The moral in the shop is better then ever and the guys all have a great time doing what they love at work. Our customers are the best there is and they are more excited about cars then ever.

I'm pretty excited about 2014, The dead weight is gone and its time to do what we do in the best way possible.

Thanks I hope the same for you and yours.

ironworks 02-10-2014 10:28 AM

Thanks guys. We took a short break on this project, But we are back on it and getting things ready for paint.

ironworks 02-10-2014 05:22 PM

We got the Billet AC switch panel / center vent into the dash and weld up the dash extension. We also got most of the tailgate put together to looks really stock, but it ain't.

Its just another farm truck. The trucks we build don't get much press.

But bring your wife. I need some help with those fancy flowers she does in her back yard and she is more fun then you. And bring your swim trunks because the skate park is now permanently closed.
