The donate me fund is still active somehow they made a mistake and changed the goal limit.

As soon as they changed the goal and said goal reached the donations stopped. If they want further donations they need to change it back and remove the "goal reached" wording. Many won't feel the need to donate if they think that what was needed has been met. I would think $10K isn't going to go far once their max insurance payout is met.

Yeah I know, Jon told me he didn't change the goal "fund me" screwed the pooch on this one somehow. I've been trying to get in touch with Jon to see if he can get them to change it back but I haven't been able to reach him.

Some donators prefer to remain 'off the grid' so to speak. ;)

That's the way I normally do it too.... and I was really just trying to spur people on.

We can remain off the grid but this thread should stay near the top.

Tim Can't Johnathan start a new campaign. The goal reached announcement isn't productive. Have you heard any updates on Owen?

Rob, I'm not sure how that fund works, if it's allowed for him to start over again or not. I'll reach out to him to see if that's possible.
I messaged him on facebook, he told me that Owen is awake, but the Doc's think he's blind but believe it's only temporary. Jon is feeling the weight of all of this and since he recently relocated back to Indiana to take a positon at Bowler he has no family around for a support network but has his Dad flying in to help.

I copied and pasted Jon's post from PT about Owen's progress

Hey guys and gals, I just got back from the hospital/rehab where Owen will be for the next 30-45 days.. We officially mentally have our little boy back it's now relearning all his motor skills. He is putting around in his wheel chair pretty good, wanting to race and crash. His legs are functioning but very very week he can only stand for a few seconds. All positive steps. Our neurologist team spoke with us and stated since it's such a rare disease even after he is released the want to maintain regular contact so they can study the progress...
Now as for side effects it again being so rare it's unknown he has a 80% chance of developing MS and a 30% chance of this coming back at any given time. But for now he is progressing way ahead of schedule! By the time it's all said and done he will be in the hospital for 3 months (along time) but far better then the 5-6 they had told us... Thank you all for the kind words, emails and donations it really shows how tight knit out community is

Great to hear Owen is making progress!

Glad this thread is being updated, it's a good reminder to keep donating on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis for those that have the desire and means to.

I agree Skip, just because Owen is improving doesn't mean he's out of the hospital, the bills are still piling up for the family.

Monday bump, donation and prayers to Owen's way and good to hear he is getting back and slowly but surely kicking butt!
