Just drop in a Super Cobra Jet Engine, They make around 900HP In stock Trim.

It would take a healthy LS to do that . .

This engine will make more power than the cobra jet and as Brian eluded to, it won't heat soak after a lap or two.

Ho-Hum . . A Chevy in a Mustang

So this LS will make over 1000 Flywheel HP?

That would be different. As long as it makes noise and goes fast I am good with it.

Windsor GTO 03-11-2014 09:04 AM

Crossing fingers

I dont think my work is near the quality work of the great Finch but it will be fun. Car will not handle well with the fat skinny set up but a blast none the less.

This might be the year of the Mustang...I'll [re]debut my 69 at the Midwest Musclecar Challenge in early May...then on to Nashville Goodguys...then USCA Daytona on Memorial Day weekend.

Brian...willing to bet dinner at Nashville? I'm really hungry for some good Nashville BBQ :)

That is down right awesome Mr. Finch.
Keep us posted.

Any street car with a 1000 HP or more is worth keeping an eye on!

Especially if it can go around corners . . .

Were you just in scottsdale?

I'm thinking a nice BBQ or steak dinner at your favorite place in Nashville on Saturday night. I would include drinks but that may break both of us :)

GregWeld 03-12-2014 10:50 AM

Mustangs are okay I guess....

Love ya buddy!

I guess it is time to let the ole cat out of the bag on this one. Here is a close version on the final design. Still working on some minor changes both front and rear but you will get the idea. Nothing but an old 67 Mustang with some lipstick and a whole lot of Kurt Urban horsepower

LS7 Z/28 03-27-2014 03:29 PM

This will be awesome Brian, I hope you do a build thread...

tones2SS 03-27-2014 04:41 PM

That is insanely nice! Please do a build thread.
That is going to be a beast.

here is a side view, notice how well the new meshes with the old. The 2011 wheel openings carried to the rear quarters ties it all together.

70 tt rustang 03-27-2014 07:21 PM

Very clean :flag2:

WSSix 03-27-2014 07:26 PM

This is going to be a great car. Good luck with the build and competing, Brian.

Sieg 03-27-2014 09:15 PM

Looks good Brian, definitely has an attitude. Have you settled on a color? Paint or wrap?

89 RS 03-27-2014 11:19 PM

I like what I see, going to be killer. Those Forgelines are my new favorite wheel, they look awesome on your Camaro also.

The latter I see. Cool.

Brian the render and concept is awesome. With real world constraints vs drawings, I really hope you can make it jump off the page into a reality.

How does the saying go . . Something about lipstick on a pig? (just kidding)

Looks like a great build!

Another Epic build by Finch,, and you know with that Urban power he'll be a consistent force to deal with at events....

GregWeld 03-30-2014 07:10 AM

Hot rodding ANYTHING is all about what the owner wants to build.... not now - nor has it EVER been about keeping the brand of motor the car was built with. EVER. Get over it. It's why all your Camaro's run Ford 9" rear ends... Who cares. It's about building something with the latest greatest parts and pieces a guy can gather.

The beauty in the whole thing is to watch this man (Finch) drive ANYTHING... because regardless of what it is - if he's behind the wheel - it's going to get top times.

Personally Brian -- I like the grey blue with matt black hood stripe and red pen stripes posted (post #20) in a pic here... it's "different" and fresh.

Solid LT1 04-01-2014 08:54 AM

I think a call to Mike Maier could help you out with your bad acid trip of putting an LS into a Ford ( I'm a diehard Vette guy but my 1st car was a Boss302 Cougar Eliminator when I was 16 it was an $1800 car am I dating myself?) Mikes brother Charlie has lots of contacts in the NASCAR world and could easily get you into the same style of motor Mikey used in his little blue Mustang.

jarhead 01-06-2016 10:36 AM

Very cool! Any updates?
