Love the paintwork. And that trailer..seems like I had a hotel room about one year ago that looked exactly like that inside, and the heat didn't work :lmao: I see a certain someone's Vette too :whistling: |

Yup....gonna be pretty low when the power train goes back in. Tom turned off the heat in the hotel cuz he was talking about keeping you warm by spooning all night  That Vette is a figment of your imagination, it's really not there....."these are not the droids your looking for" :snapout: R/ Jeff |

Your going to have to change the name on this car. The title had me picturing a knuckle dragging red neck in a wife beater. That thing is P Ditty in a tuxedo. Maybe call it "GQ Nova".LOL
Looks great Jeff, I know its going to be fast. Can't wait to see it on the track , getting flogged. |
Do you have a 3 car garage - and another shop in the back?

Bone Thugs in Harmony? LOL
Car looks great! When you started talking about the hotel room it brought back memories of the Motor Home at Kershaw that we did not turn the heat on and about froze. |
Man this nova is BAD!

I really like your car, it is just awesome.

That was a fun weekend, I'm pretty sure that was Payton's awesome North Carolina ribs that caused that issue.
|
Wow, nailed the paint scheme. Beautiful car!! Care to share where you found the hood louvers.
|
Very Cool build.Luv the hood vents.
|
I'm with Scott. Very cool.
|
Wow,
Guess I fell behind...all my posts disappeared on my progress!! Suppose I better get going and get something done worthy of pics :flashie: Ron and I think Aaron sent a ZAP to the server to delete all of the comments about his "Hollywood or Bust" tramp stamp  R/ Jeff |

Thought I would re-post some of the pics that were lost in the big server shift. I have been slowly making progress on the Nova. Installed Rear 1/4 glass and regulators, weatherstripping, tail lamps, fuel fill door, removed front fenders and hood, bell housing dial indicated, clutch installed, trans assembled to engine and finally, I installed the engine/trans combo yesterday!!! Just have a few odds and ends and it will be secured in place and I can start laying everything else out. Hope to make some more progress today .

Damn that thing is dusty!!!, that's what I get for having the doors open all day!! Weather was too nice not to enjoy the fresh air, we have had so much rain I was considering planting a rice patty on the rear acreage :drowninga:

Wow that's great progress Jeff.
If you do put a crop in, 'Thug Rice' might be very popular with a certain segment of motorsports... lol |
I would be interested in hearing about where to source the parts for the rear end. You have a c6 style unit bearing right?

Hey, Billy, Bill, and I will come down and bring fold up chairs and an easy-up, supervise your build to make sure you do everything right. All you have to do is keep us hydrated with drink of choice. I have a kegerator I could fit two kinds in  Oh, and Billy likes Cheez-its on hand. We should have a few weeks in June open in the schedule... Looking good Jeff. 81 days |
Stop with the Motorstate countdown Aaron, its freeking me out. LOL

Quick update...............
- Front brakes installed - Engine/trans mounted - Wiper transmission and DSE wiper motor installed - All weatherstripping installed - Headliner getting installed today - Windshield and moldings installed tomorrow - Started install of noise/heat matting Should have the car back from my buddies interior shop (doing headliner) on Saturday morning, then jumping on the brake and fuel lines. Next up...wiring!! Motorstate is closing in fast :ohsnap: Still waiting on a few parts but have plenty to work on until they show up...time is the problem, I just have too many plates spinning this year. Man, my timing to build this car really sucks, someday I will learn......but I suspect it wont be anytime soon :twak: I just have to give a shout out to Billy Utley, you rock dude!! Thanks for all of your help, you have saved me SOOOO much time. You and your dad are just such quality people. I would hug you, but Ron and Aaron would be jealous, you know how they get :catfight: LOL R/ Jeff http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psbf8f84b4.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ps12d80bfb.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ps8187064c.jpg |
You are moving right along. Seriously considering coming up to MotorState just to hang out and see your car run...not that is any pressure or anything.

Hmmmmm double top secret huh, guess I'll be switching to SIGINT and HUMINT collection schemes to aquire some information......... I'll be watching :secret: LOL. As always Donny, I'm sure it's a cool ride!!! Talk to ya soon. R/ Jeff |
Quick update......
Brake lines are completed, had to order a bunch of stuff for the fuel system plumbing so I moved back to installing the sound/heat matting. Hope to get the doors assembled with regulators and glass over the next week or so along with laying out all of the wiring :headscratch: Still a long way to go and time is getting short........ Not to mention I may have just sold my house and will have to deal with moving.....UGH, I did not think in this market we would sell it in one day!! The interim house we bought does have a detached garage, but it is not finished and no lift...:hairpullout: Back to jack stands!!! The wife wants to all but gut the new place...like I don't have enough going on :waveflag: At this rate, Motorstate may just be a dream. The saga continues....... I'll try and post some pics of the car when I get some free time LOL R/ Jeff |
