Given that we have somewhat of a reputation for C-10's with tidy handling, this one will be no different... :unibrow: As mentioned, this will be getting our FAST TRACK C-10 chassis (More info HERE) with 9" rear and Strange rear axle and gears. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7308/9...901fc6f7_b.jpg IMG_3587 by Roadster Shop, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3697/9...859fb04f_b.jpg IMG_3589 by Roadster Shop, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3809/9...5257415c_b.jpg IMG_3588 by Roadster Shop, on Flickr And to perfectly compliment the FAST TRACK chassis, our RS by Penske double adjustable coilovers... http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5504/9...55452209_b.jpg IMG_3599 by Roadster Shop, on Flickr and stopping duties taken care of with 6 piston Wilwood's up front and 4's on the rear. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7326/9...4e4f92df_b.jpg IMG_4326 by Roadster Shop, on Flickr http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2884/9...76c4e88b_b.jpg IMG_3575 by Roadster Shop, on Flickr |

I scrolled down to the chassis and I just stare at it shaking my head. (In a good way, of course!) Awesome guys! |
Chassis look's Amazing.I wish you lived next door to you folk's.Would loved to sit in the corner and just Watch!!!!!!!!the Magic. |
Is NVH a big concern on a vehicle like this ? I'm curious if you have noticed a problem using solid mounted shocks like that vs a rubber/poly bushing. I felt like using monoball mounted shocks made a noticeable difference in my vehicles, although replacing one end with a poly bushing didn't help that much. Just curious if you thought it mattered. OTOH I told my shock builder what I was doing and he was horrified - I had just negated any subtlety to his valving.I think he was over reacting. |
who do you guys use for powdercoating the chassis? |

Incredible work, this truck is going to be awesome! |

I must say - I think Mr. Gerber missed his calling in life as a narrator. He's done a great job on the voice-over work! His voice kind of reminds me of Sam Elliot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPVLyB0Yc6I |
 Quote:
He gets the Sam Elliot comparison a lot, but in his defense, they are very different. For example, in this picture, Sam Elliot is wearing a cowboy hat and Neal isn't. Totally different... :_paranoid http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2881/1...eee5ff70_b.jpg |
Hope I can remember to call him SAM when I see him at SEMA.... We'll dub him SEMA SAM!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA |
Videos are great, just too short for me to pick up enough fabrication tips. I could spend 15 minutes just watching the guy use the power hammer. And, y'all seem so young to be running such a huge successful business. Other than Sema Sam that is. |
 Quote:
I agree, cable is missing a real show. Remember Rides, American Chopper (pre soap opera) and Overhauling. I watched for the fabrication... Sam Elliot voice over "theres a new sheriff in town" Im sure you guys have enough projects to fill a few seasons. :hello: |
The damned TV writers/producers would have the Gerber family yelling and screaming at each other to boost ratings.....I won't wish that on them -- - they seem too nice for that drama! Just keep on cranking out cool projects! |

Sadly, like a car crash, the drama does attract a bigger audience and the technical content becomes only suitable for a niche audience. Quote:

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7303/1...fe86f164_b.jpg Did you guys make this? If so, super impressed I am. That is really deep to go with the pullmax without taco-ing the whole thing. |
Looks great! Love your builds! |
 Amazing work as usual. |
Unbelievable, stunning, superb, flawless, spectacular, unrivaled, splendid, awsome, impressive, magnificent, amazing, astonishing, wonderful, invigorating, refreshing, superior, smashing, winner, champion, leader, chart topping, award winning, second to none, leader of the pack, big chief...uhhhh, get my point yet? |
 I'm with that guy |
 Me too /\ |
The work you guys turn out is incredible! I do have a question on the cover panel. I see you just created a lip to go under the bed floor, is there a reason you left it flat vs. following the natural contours? Was it just because it was easier? Trying to give my brother ideas for his '72. Quote:

There's just not much a guy can say about this exceptional quality of craftsmanship ----- HA!!! See how I slipped that in there!?!?!?! |
Only bad trend I see happening is when these '68-'72 C-10's get built this way, how will the young gearheads coming up ever find out that a '69 Camaro is THE PT ride they're supposed to have? :D |
I am a truck guy, so this build is off the charts for me! I only wish I could do something this cool soon.... :king: |
Amazing work as always from you guys! |
I love this build!! Phil, you guys are always such a truckload of inspiration for those of us in this hobby. When it comes down to it..........it really doesn't matter how deep your wallet is. But after looking at any one of your builds, it just pushes a guy that really loves building or tweaking a car (or truck), to dig deep down and make the best use of the skills that you have, and the tools in your garage......to build something super cool. Sorry, I always get geeked up checking out your builds!! :thankyou: |
When does the RS ever disappoint:headscratch: Hmmm  NEVER :hail: Beyond the quality of everything you do you guys always seem to pull something cool out of your bag of tricks on every build. |
Thanks again for the compliments! The latest episode is up: Designing the truck |
The narration is good, but I heard Sam Elliott would do it for a custom RS 'stache trimmer. |
