Very nice Marty!

Wait until you guys see the rear control arms, I would hang them on the wall for artwork.
Enough posting pics already lets get to work. Mike |
The quarter louvers look extremely plain compared to the rest of the car.... just sayin.

Just in case people don't think I actually use my car in the summer. Here are a few pics of it hauling my bike.
yes I was also just as muddy and thank God for the giant towel I found in the trunk as it kept my seat from getting covered in mud http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%281%29.JPG http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%282%29.jpg |

Quickly trying to catch this thread up.
The goal was to get all of these parts installed on the car prior to the Power Tour and with only a week to go and working 60 - 70 hours a week I needed to call the Guys at Super Car Performance in Minooka, IL. www.supercarperformance.com I had already purchased the Sway Bars from them and they said if I ever needed anything to just call them so that is exactly what I did. Scott and I talked for about 30 minutes to set up a game plan and a time for me to drop off the car. They had 5 days to do all of the work and before Mike & I were going to leave on the Power Tour and they pulled it off with 1 day to spare. Last piece of the puzzle was the cradle bushings and I was able to get these from a member on the Camaro5 board. http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%282%29.jpg Parts getting ready to be installed. http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%283%29.JPG http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%284%29.JPG To be painted ZL1 Rockers to replace the GM rockers & 1LE Rear Diffuser which is no longer going to be used. http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%285%29.JPG http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%284%29.jpg and these were going on but someone needed them for his car so I was kind enough to sell them mine. http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%282%29.JPG http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%285%29.jpg http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%287%29.JPG Rear Cradle back in with the new bushing http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%283%29.JPG http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%285%29.JPG Rear Suspension installed and the new rear Calipers http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%283%29.JPG |
The Guys at Super Car Performance (www.supercarperformance.com) wrapped up the installation of the JDP Remote Clutch
Slave Cylinder and it made a huge difference on the feel of the clutch pedal. http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%285%29.JPG my favorite picture http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%282%29.JPG Car on the ground and ready to leave on the Power Tour with 24 hours to spare. http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%281%29.JPG http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%283%29.JPG and of course the first day of school http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%281%29.JPG since it was raining I decided I would wash the car before we left. http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...%20%281%29.JPG I can't tell you how happy I am with the guys at Super Car Performance they said they would get the work completed and they did and it was under budget on top of that. |
Sweet! You don't hear that very often.

Stance is just right. Looks great.

Looking good Marty...
I still owe you that pic of the undercarriage of my SS sedan - I'll get you that tomorrow. Life has been stupid crazy with work and trying to sell my house. |

Thanks guys and trust me I understand about life getting crazy. One of my biggest accounts is moving the business to China. It's to bad because my other accounts are bringing stuff back from China and there sales are going through the roof. Marty-mj www.garagescene.net www.syborgtwinturbo.com www.2ndcamaro.com |

Well, Rick these pics are for you as it seems I forgot to update this thread.
Installed a set of new wheels http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...f748e8f959.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...72987b09f2.jpg |
Instead of buying a new car I decided to update the one I already have.
So the next step was to drop the car and all of the new Carbon parts that I received from Nathan (G5R) at Show Stoppers in St Charles, IL. of course this hood is on my wish list. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...6ecdb649c2.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...d7fc958f30.jpg One thing I really loved on the new Z28 is the Wickerbill. Below are a few pics of the Aerosports Wickerbill on the Seibon Carbon Fiber ZL1 rear Spoiler http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...3b5ad3315e.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...6c4a5a3fe9.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...bebc05f4fc.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...67cafae61f.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...bb910e7dd0.jpg |
Test fitting the new rear diffuser.
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...aefd81d250.jpg Did I tell you guys how much I love this rear spoiler combo. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...377701f49c.jpg My goal is to give the car a completely new look. In order to do that the stripes need to be removed from the hood, front fascia, deck lid and rear spoiler. Also it was an easy way to remove the chips from last years Power Tour. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...a79ec01f7b.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...77828c770b.jpg I am also excited that I will be removing the mail slot block off plate. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...173262b2c2.jpg and of course remove all of the factory ground effects. Anyone looking for a complete set they need a little work but the price is cheap ? http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...c1b149eb7d.jpg |
Quick pictures of the beautiful carbon rockers getting some finish work.
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...fb6f71dec2.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...b280462f4b.jpg I wanted to keep the Hood & Deck lid for Garage Art. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...95c69949c6.jpg The guys at ShowStoppers fitting the rear diffuser. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...da0ff7edcd.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...39e43a4bbf.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...e941b80a00.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...e577fdcea8.jpg mind you this is just a dry fit. |
Since the front end is off I might as well install the JDP Motorsports tow hook.
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...79e954a0db.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...99e25393ee.jpg Cleared and ready to install http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...65cd347eff.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...d7f0e58e02.jpg Next up painting the new Deck Lid http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...3f9e9c81a9.jpg An easy high impact paint detail that changes the look of the front end. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...ac11d5a1e2.jpg Last minute decision Nathan convinced me we need to go all the way and add the hood. I have a pretty cool idea for the new stripe and I can't wait to see it painted. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...3e099bd6cc.jpg |
the rockers.........
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...10c3dd0b63.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...a971480ca9.jpg Since the rear ground effects were glued on we decided to re-paint the rear cover. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...9a3ac9f68e.jpg Sneak peek of the front fascia http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...8989bd9b9b.jpg Meanwhile the other Camaro is getting close to being complete. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...125fd65889.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...96f9bf0827.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...90ed21c270.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...89e21b69ea.jpg |
The rear cover is being re-sprayed because the GM ground effects where glued on and when Pete tried to remove
them we lost a little paint. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...ad031c9520.jpg Then there is the hood and I looked at ton's of different stripes and I wanted something a little different then what everyone else was doing. I hope you guys like the final picture as much as I do. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...be602817ba.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...c6fb6fdcdf.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...ec6a7abf31.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...3c53df11da.jpg |
Stepping back
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...5824ab7ee0.jpg The Underside of the hood is finished to OE specs and the factory underhood insulation snaps right in. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...660dc2226d.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...82f1a85330.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...131c91bf3c.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...dd8b684b41.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...cff04e2298.jpg Close up of the carbon weave. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...de4d880ccc.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...2fda34db75.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...0ca09052b8.jpg |
The Autobots logo going byebye?
Car is looking great! I like the ZL1-esque front bumper treatment. The rear spoiler looks great along with the rest of the carbon. What upper grille is that? |
Very nice work Marty,I bet it's fun to drive:thumbsup:
|
Also forgot - nice MMR replicas!
They don't fit for **** on the G8. A few guys are running them but honestly it just makes it look like the car has blingy dubs on them. |

Thank you, The Transformer will be back for sure. If I took it off my daughter would kill me. The upper grille is actually a ZL1 grille and I had a true set of Z28 wheels but they stuck out to far. So the MRR28 wheels are the best option and I just love the look. |

Don't know if you and I are just odd balls, but I am right there with you on loving that spoiler/wicker-bill combo.
You did good on the stripe in bare carbon. Looks really good. |
love the changes
|
Very nice detail with the red pinstripe on the hood.
|
I like the changes, Marty. Enjoy the new look!
|
Thanks guys I can't wait till the morning.
|
Looking good Marty!! Now we need some finish pics...
|
Looks great Marty. Sorry I've been mia with the bike stuff. I've been pulling 12 to 16 hour shifts for the last couple weeks. We need to go riding soon
|
btw, what all did you do to 2nd chance? rims, and ????
Still got the bike mount? I was gonna do a trunk mount for mine, but i tossed that idea, thinking about some boring roof (removable) Thule. Still would like a something at the trunk. |
Looks great Marty. Is it morning yet?
