Do you have the factory harness and fusebox or an aftermarket one like AAW?

I had that problem when I first tried starting my LQ9. I have a PSI harness and the power wire required 12v with key on and cranking. The lead I used on the fuse panel had 12v with key on, but dropped all power when cranking. Worth a check if you're using a similar harness.

Greg, thank you ... comments like this from guys of your 'caliber' are much appreciated by guys that are simply working out of their garage and have attempted to do as much work themselves as possible ...

Sincerely
Steve

Oh gawd... there goes the neighborhood. :hitaxeonthehead:

But, yeah the car looks outstanding!

Vince@Meanstreets 02-07-2015 10:09 AM

coming out great Steve!!!

Yeah, the no 12V during crank has bite alot of asses in the past. If its a new switch you can change the feed wire at the switch terminal.

Took me a few seconds to figure out that wasn't a video.

Sheck44 02-07-2015 10:20 AM

You too Ron

LOL .. Thanks Ron, and honestly there are a lot of you guys like you on this forum that have inspired me, 2 years ago I truly never thought I'd be where I am today with this car.

So thanks everyone
Steve

Yessir, everything with the exception of the body work/paint and the actual building and install of the LS7 ... I was actually at the paint shop doing the body sanding my a$# for weeks after work ! ... and making sure the body/paint didn't take 2 years :bang:

Article

Great little article on Dasilva Motorsport ... Manny is a solid guy, and likely the best shop in the GTA. It's about time he got some recognition, I cannot say enough about the quality work done here ...

Dyno Results Round 1

Dyno Day Round 1
So managed 4 pulls on the dyno starting with the baseline tune. After we started to get heat soak after the 4th pull it was decided that round 2 (final) would happen the next day. So far very happy with the results. In the small room this was one of the loudest things I've ever experienced in my life ...more results later today

Max HP - 627.52
Max Torque - 686.78

That's a torque monster! Perfect torque curve for a street car. Your tires don't stand a chance.

Dayum!

Steve, any more tuning on the horizon?

Sheck44 02-27-2015 03:20 AM

Final Tune

Thank you everyone ... LOL , Vince that's funny, and your right .. with the closed in space it was sooooo friggin loud it sounded like a jet plane was in the room (and I've done quite a few dyno runs)

Don, I believe this is the max we can get with the pulley setup with a 'safe' tune for the LS7, and to be quite honest I'm already a little nervous with torque numbers like that. It'll be a handful for sure and I think we'll stay put at these numbers for a while

Che70velle 02-27-2015 09:23 AM

...sounds like a jet plane on the video also. Wow.
This should be made a sticky.
If this was offered as a ringtone, I'd buy one. Maybe two...
This car will be a rip on the street!
