You guys always seem to hit the ball out of the park.
Great job guys. Very innovative, as are are all of your builds.

Love the ideas you guys come up. It's something completely different to be able to execute that. Beautiful craftsmanship, as always. Can't wait to check this one out in person.

Thanks for all the comments!

A few more pics for today, kicking off with the rear spoiler. We wanted a lower, less dominant spoiler than factory due to the details we have added on the tailpanel and lower valance. The 'shorty' would give a better visual balance.

Next we turned our attention to the lower valance area. The plan was an integration of the '69 style turn signals with a center opening and insert.

First we filled the 67/8 valance:

Next, the split chin spoilers:

Looks very nice.

RS really does have a lot of creative ideas - every car seems to have fresh styling and is not overdone and while you can say there is an RS style, its not cookie cutter in any way.

I mean I am bored to death with early Camaro PT cars, and yet look how many different ways they are making this car interesting to the point where I am excited and interested in the build.

And thanks RS for showing us some of the fab photos not just the finished pieces. I learn so much just looking at how you tack, how you join, the HAZ on your welding etc.

67camaro496 02-25-2015 04:31 PM

Very impressive as always. What tallights are those?

Thanks for the kind words. Its a fine line to walk making each car unique in itself and not just throw the same bag of tricks at a build every time, all while keeping it very much a 'Roadster Shop' style.

Time for a few updates on this one!

With the host of the metalwork custom touches complete, the shell heads to the body shop and the final stages are in view.

Chassis and driveline assembly: Chassis is our FAST TRACK full frame with our IRS rounding out the suspension setup with Penske Shocks all round.

Looks very nice and seeing all of the different Chassis yesterday I was blown away at the volume and the quality of the work you guys put out.

The little blue Ford pick up would sure make for a great Bike hauler.

Aewsome. Love the details.

GregWeld 06-10-2015 04:51 PM

Sorry -- the yellow calipers are just clashing with that paint - I'd make them go away painting them black... That's the only two colors on the car - the body paint and black. Normally I keep my big yap shut on this kind of stuff... but had to say this because the car is friggin' killer. Love the ADV wheels too! Hopefully they replace the rollers on it as shown.

WSSix 06-10-2015 07:25 PM

Love it! I'm so glad to see a 68 get some love.

randy 06-10-2015 09:02 PM

what did you paint the window trim and wipers with?

paulk68 06-11-2015 02:48 AM

Wow, that is incredible. very nice work guys!!!

WILWAXU 06-11-2015 05:40 AM

Beautiful build! Look forward to seeing the final product.

RPitts 06-11-2015 01:22 PM

I agree with GW on calipers. Love this car!

Of course -- one of my favorite sayings is "the only guy that needs to like it, is the guy that's paying the bills..."

I just found that no matter what I was looking at in the pictures <great photos by the way> was that I was distracted by the calipers "popping" out.

Vince@Meanstreets 06-11-2015 05:16 PM

Yellow caliper spells performance when Eroupein. :bitchslap:

DKz Garage 06-12-2015 05:23 AM

Very stunning car!

Rybar 06-12-2015 06:19 AM

Like the subtle body mods. That front grille and tail panel are pretty impressive mods. And the obvious like the killer chassis and the adv1 wheels make it over the top. Great job again.

TCRugger 06-12-2015 07:34 AM

Where did you guys get the accessory drive with the black alternator and compressor?

airpanaia 06-12-2015 07:43 AM

I really like the color and the way they massaged the whole back end of the car. Its different and not the same old camaro..

Well done guys.

Musclerodz 06-12-2015 09:45 AM

I know I am being overly critical, and I love this car so dont get me wrong, I find it interesting that being a 68 it has a 67 firewall in it.

Z06Joe 06-12-2015 10:15 AM

Another awesome build!!

rjp71 06-12-2015 10:21 AM

The car looks great the mods are subtle and clean!. Very well thought out and executed.
