This truck/van is turning out nice. Rutledge's looks great as well. I haven't watched any Lost in Transmission but I've seen the van on there. Maybe I'll see it around here one day.

Fun story. His Civic wagon was built by my current boss. It was not an easy swap. The new engine barely fits that tiny wagon. It's a screamer, too.

I'm interested in your brothers old megacab wheels since your not using them! If they are for sale that is pm me.

It's shining up nice!

GregWeld 06-10-2015 08:31 PM

Wow! I'm not sure that's going to be legal to drive dude!! LOL

DBasher 06-10-2015 10:28 PM

I got home late the other night, rolled into the driveway and as soon as my lights hit the back it was like ****in ****! I have the feeling I'll either get the thumbs up or the "Charlie"

As much as I'm trying to forget about this thing...I've got a guy stopping by Saturday morning to discuss options for a front clip....FML!

Cleaned it up and took the youngest for a spin today, TV cable needs to be messed with and I still need new tires but it's a hoot!

The lil guy explaining why he wants to keep it.

Flash68 07-11-2015 10:46 PM

Ha, that thing looks awesome.

DBasher 07-21-2015 11:10 AM

SOLD! That was a lot of fun but a huge distraction. Local guy bought it that does automotive photography and his wife is an antiques dealer, perfect fit.

Back to the Mustang.

Flash68 07-21-2015 11:22 AM

Nice! Assuming you made a little profit after your sweat equity?

DBasher 07-21-2015 11:39 AM

I was "all in" at $1600 and it sold for $8700...I'm not the best at math but am pretty sure I came out on top. Besides the distraction it was some good times with my dad and boys, plus it kept me out of trouble.

I know where two more are...:underchair:

My "advisor" doesn't think cars are a good investment.....and owns a Miata, hmm. :hitaxeonthehead:

I used to make decent scratch buying and selling beaters, my wife would say I was "selling the dream". Buy cheap, tune up, wheels and tires maybe lowered a bit, it gave the buyer an affordable ride that they could enjoy as they continued to fix it up. Now with two boys and my own projects I have to pass on a lot of what I find, this one was fun.

Well done!

The old rig at Puyallup Goodguys this summer. I didn’t talk with the owner but he’s clearly enjoying the attention getter and even using it to pull his trailer.

GregWeld 11-13-2017 09:16 AM

HA! That looks great! Good for him!

I just can’t believe it’s not laying frame! That is sweet!

Nice work fixing it up!

Until today I was unaware there was a Truck section in the forums. Now I wonder what the H else I've been missing out on.
