Greg, I'm glad you are waging war with F%*@ Cancer! and glad I've checked in with you to see how it is going.

What little research I have done is that the CBD/THC surrounds Cancer Cells and chokes them off and kills them.

I think this is the treatment of the future (except to the established Medical community). I know I have seen too many friends try to fight cancer with Chemo & Radiation, only to suffer and then wither away to die.

Kick Cancer's A$$!

Greg, how well received from your "typical medial professional" was your alternative medicine? Was it met with resistance or skepticism?

Here's a little Eco Cannabinoid System info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endocannabinoid_system

The US government owns the patent on CBD from marijuana.
What I'm curious about is people that are making the oil are they paying a royalty, or are they getting around it somehow?

http://www.leafscience.com/2014/07/2...ent-marijuana/

Since one part of the government applied for the patent of medical marijuana, and another part of the government approved that patent, it seems logical to conclude that the federal government knows that marijuana has some valid medical properties.

Now the hard part. How do we get them to admit it?

Epic thread GW.

I've known you what, 6 or 7 years? Soberity warrior the whole time. To see you puff at Sonoma like I was in my teens and early twenties was priceless! Glad I made it and would not have missed it for the world.

Keep fighting the good fight brother! You are an inspiration to us all

Hell no!!! They all have said "heck yes"!!!

Obviously we know they can't help and guide and suggest...... our government is too busy trying to "help".... LOL

No skepticism what so ever Nick!

It was so good to have you guys all show up! I don't care that I had to start dying to get everyone together.... it was totally worth it.

Trust me -- I shed A LOT of tears over this whole sordid affair! Getting messed up (folks the THC is STRONG and there's no getting around it's affects!) is just not something that I was prepared to do. It took some soul searching to be able to give in and go with it. I'm sure glad now that I did!

********************** Important to note ***********************

The "smoking" of the pot is what helps with nausea - my stomach "roiling rolling cramps" (stops them INSTANTLY) - and it's the easiest to "do" when you're out on the road or having fun or whatever. Dosing the other stuff is the medicine part! The smoking part is helpful in other ways..... and it also (the way I use it with the PAX Vape 2) is delivering the meds needed. Just way faster.

Rolling a joint --- NOT --- That's not what we're talking about here!

Think about this CRAZINESS for just a minute!!!

The HEMP industry was put out of business by DuPont - when DuPont wanted to make NYLON ropes ---- and people wouldn't buy that cheap rope --- they wanted to buy REAL Rope..... HEMP?? OUTLAWED.

NYLON rope -- big seller....

Fast forward to today. Hemp is illegal. DuPont doesn't need any help any more --- but the drug companies do!!

Now ---- Let's say the government FINALLY says ---- YEP.... to Hemp.... and it really is the drug that will fight many ailments? Now then ---- Wouldn't you be crazy out of your mind with rage when you discover that all your Mother/Father/Brother/Uncle/Sister would have had to have done was THC/CBD and they'd have lived. Instead they did surgeries and chemo and suffered and hair loss...... and none of that needed to happen.

Remember! Your government is here and they're here to help you!
With some things - some times. Sometimes we just get it wrong. :military:

GregWeld 08-16-2016 09:57 PM

So to get back on topic here...... There's some things we've had to deal with that any "drug newb" would. Such as..... "they" say that Marijuana is not addicting. I probably would agree ---- which led me to a BAD newb mistake.

In my rush to ingest the full RSO prescribed amount of 2 ounces -- and try to get that done as quickly as possible.... so I rushed/pushed the dosage way beyond what would be "normal". Okay for me - I was ready - I had help - I didn't have anything to do but get this in my system.... BUT when I was done with the 2 oz --- then it was QUITTIN' TIME!

WRONG!!!

BIG MISTAKE!!!

!!!!!!!!!!YOU WILL HAVE WITHDRAWALS!!!!!!!!!!

You MUST wean yourself off down to a maintenance dose. Don't just stop cold turkey like I TRIED to do. BAD!! VERY BAD!! DON'T DO IT!!

TurboNova 08-17-2016 10:07 AM

i hope this works for you. And believe me once you are diagnosed every quack head will come to you with "their" home remedy version of what can fix you and the "bad" pharma industry. The first thing I did with my cancer was the gambet of things you talk about why me, I dont even drink ect... while doing this I get every home remedy suggested. some made me very sick and some I would rather just be dead. i did the the Rick Simpson oil book and we did get the oil. However I am glad I didnt decide to put all my eggs in one basket. I do know people who it worked well for AND I really hope it works for you. It tends to work on tumors well from my friends who have used it for that. However it does not work for my type of Cancer, most of the pro THC/CBD people lose the common sense it CANT fix everything.

The big thing I found was after talking to several specialists, I got the gambit of different opinions. I can say for fact that if I would have got treatment in Phoenix I would be dead by next year. By traveling to Littlerock, AR and getting the treatment of stem cell AND Chemo I have over an 80% chance of being cancer free. Chemo sounds scary but in reality it isnt that bad. BUT getting someone who takes your type of cancer and tests the available treatments against your gene is important because most places go with the one size fits all approach which isnt good either. The biggest #1 thing I believe is finding someone DR that does nothing but what you have. There are specialists in everything and we just needed to find someone. I too have a very rare type of cancer and was lucky to find the group of specialists in Littlerock.

I hope for the both of us that 2017 Nov we are both at SEMA cancer free.

Brain --- Someone had mentioned to me that you had cancer.... I haven't seen you since you left the great Pacific NorthWET!

I TOTALLY AGREE with your statement of don't put all your eggs in one basket -- and to work really hard for yourself! Find out everything you can and WORK AT IT TO GET BETTER/WELL!

I have an inoperable tumor.... and this seems to be a REASONABLE approach for me (The RSO/THC/CBD oils). I wasn't even looking for a "cure" -- I was looking to slow down the growth and spread of the disease.

Greg, it is with tears in my eyes I have read this and now reply. I love you man! You know that. Cancer is no respector of persons and can strike anyone. I love your outlook on the big picture and totally respect you living life to the fullest and not doing the chemo route. Whether you have six months or 60 years left, the key is to have things right with the man upstairs. I hope this thread goes viral and it helps many others. If the good Lord had not had a reason for this plant, he would not have created it and put it on this earth. I don't know all the answers but I do know he is still in charge and he has a plan for each of us.
I look forward to spending time with you at SEMA my friend.

It was a pleasure to meet you at Spring Sprint and your hospitality for the entire group was over the top. I wasnt able to make Mini-Nats we welcomed baby #2 but I will be at Thunderhill with the club in October? Are you planning on going?

Interesting... I just returned from DC and on the flight I listen to various pod casts. One was by John Stossel and his discussion about the FDA approval of drugs and the approach taken by the federal government. One case study presented was a kid who could not get treatment for cancer (what they tried failed and were out of options) when they heard about something offered in Europe (don't remember the drug name). Long story short, the whole family moved to London for nine months so they could try the drug. Now the kid is cancer free.

If you look at the whole of the aids epidemic, people were experimenting on themselves. This is how they figured out the current treatment.

As I understand it, the current system was borne out of the '60's and thalidomide and the resulting phocomelia. It seems, though, we have really thrown the baby out with the bathwater on our current system and not letting the individual make the choices ON THEIR OWN BODY, especially in cases such as presented in this thread.

It makes you wonder if the government should be doing it at all. Freedom, especially for the adult populace, sometimes requires risk that you may or may not be successful. In this case, taking the risk to improve your quality and / or length of life.

Sure, people ought to be accountable for their actions - you harm someone else (even if you are on drugs), you go to jail (or worse). Of course, I strongly recommend working with a doctor.

It makes you wonder why innovation is not happening significantly more and what could be done to improve the competition between pharmaceutical vendors. Clearly there is a market.

I'll keep you in prayer!

This morning we're packing up and heading out for Vegas for the weekend. Seems I'm traveling three times as much as before I got sick! WTF! But here's the take-away....

I'm UP -- FEELING GOOD -- not fearful of leaving the house and feeling bad... because I feel NORMAL!

Friends are playing this weekend and we intend to party like it's 1999....

I'm dosing the THC/CBD oil at .3 Ml each one time now - just before I go to bed. This is getting the meds in without the stone - because I'm sleeping. And I'm sleeping really really well! For the first time this morning --- I noticed something "else" has changed for me since the Meds..... I used to drink a ton of plain tonic... the quinine helped with my "jimmy legs" I used to get at night. I realized this morning I've not had them at all. Hadn't even thought about 'em.

syborg tt 08-18-2016 08:56 AM

Greg,

Thank you for sharing your journey with us and I am glad you are still here and fighting like a Rock Star. I've shared your story with a bunch of people and I hope we call all learn something from this and share this thread with friends.

Steamed white rice & soy sauce will also help with the excess oil in your diet it kinda firms things up and slow digestion down (buy it from your local Chinese take out).

... and since your back on the Mountain Bike you should look at a 4'' Fat Tire bike. It's like being a kid again and they are so much fun.

Brian,

Thank you for sharing your story and I will add you to my prayer list as I didn't know you were sick and keep up the fight. It's a tough one but my secret was not to let it own me.

Side note: Peppermint Tea works wonders for stomach issue's. It's to bad Peppermint Ice cream doesn't have the same benefit because it sure does taste much better.

Greg, the reporter in the news story said the oil doesn't produce a high. You report it does, what does it depend on regarding whether you feel high or not?
Not trying to be funny, but I'm wondering if small doses as a preventative measure would be a good idea.

Thank you!

One of my pet peeves was always that "others" didn't partake in "doing" -- many choose to let others "do". That's never been our style. If you belong to a club - go to the meetings - attend the events - volunteer to work a few hours at the event rather than letting someone else to ALL the work.... When I was on the Board of Seattle Yacht Club -- we used to thank all the members for paying their dues so the rest of us could have a great club. While meant to be funny.... it was true that of 2500 members -- only maybe 500 where truly "active". Great base of members supporting the rest of us that were having all the fun.

In other words...... GIVE BACK SOME -- or PAY SOME FORWARD... it's truly more rewarding in the long run.

I've said it 10 zillion times ---- Cancer is kind of like a cold - you just never know where or who it came from. I'm 63 years old - lived a good life..... I feel SORRY for those such as you mention here - 29 years old!! WTF Alex is only 29 - they haven't lived at all yet! That's wrong and it's why we need to fix this.

OKAY!!! NOW WE'RE BACK ON TRACK.......

Sorry guys -- but I wanted the thread to be MEDICAL -- and not really about "ME" -- even thought I truly appreciate everyones kind words!

CBD oil without any THC (you can buy it with many different levels or zero!) - will not produce any high whatsoever... Use it all you want. There's so many kinds out there - watch for where you buy and how you intend to use it! Gwen just got some CBD oil BALM for her KNEES -- applied it once -- said tonight at dinner she hadn't had pain from her knee all day.

THC or AKA: RICK SIMPSON OIL -- This stuff gets ya high buddy! I'm here to tell you that your first dose of ONE HALF THE SIZE OF A GRAIN OF WHITE RICE will put you on the floor! Thus the "working up to" the full dose of 1 gram per day for the 60 days. I worked up to taking 1.5 grams per day!! And at the END of the course I got very LITTLE high from it. More like having a couple of beers.
But working up to --- and maybe like MOST OF THE TIME I was taking the combo THC/CBD oil ---- I was STONED IMMACULATE! WASTED. Do not drive - Do not attempt to pay bills - don't do anything but stay home - Get rest - and have someone take care of you.

Not sure if it's just me but this made me laugh especially the "Don not attempt to pay bills" comment.

Serious Question now, I know you said during treatment to get some rest is that because you are so wiped out or they want you to rest during treatment ?
