Car looks great! I think the 285's will be fine. I just put 315's on my Rebel that is on air and didn't need to touch the inside of the wheelwell or the outside lip. Since it is lowered, I did need to cut a section out of the wheelwell that angles down and outward from the middle of the well toward the lip.

1badsc 12-18-2016 03:45 PM

that inner fender well was on my radar also man that car is looking sweet believe it or not I was thinking about red rims also we need more pics of your Rebel

rell 12-18-2016 04:52 PM

Ha! That's funny. I was considering black wheels. I love the painted steel wheel look but a 17x11 steel wheel was waayyy too heavy. These are aluminum but, apparently like you, it took forever to get them. Once I did get them they were wrong and had to go back to be redone!

I don't want to hijack your build thread with my pics but I would be glad to send you pics of my build. It is very similar to yours.

I am really looking forward to your posts.

1badsc 12-28-2016 06:14 PM

well tires are mounted ..stripes gotta go I thought the might work but I'm not crazy about them that 285 rear tire disappears in that rear wheel well lol and the front will come down with the control freak suspension installed once i get it and UPS don't loose it again so here is a few pictures ..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...ps3uhjqhrn.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pssinaef2o.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psdj7ol5cv.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...ps0argtxvo.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pse9a2yo0f.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psqpqr6gfc.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psn6j4tvpt.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pskqenwoqj.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psbk7p3f8f.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psj21dwgno.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pspij3pcod.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psqmgsuftp.jpg....should look really good with Red wilwood calipers front and rear

no go nova 12-29-2016 04:52 AM

Sweet build and sucks about loosing major parts but it will all work out for you.

1badsc 12-31-2016 01:10 PM

got all 4 on today to figure out whats next rear still has air in shocks front needs a couple inches taken out of the front then it should be sitting about right stripes are gone and it looks like a completely different car ...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pssphs0f3h.jpg....http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psqyx6icfz.jpg.....http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psnlog7ngj.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pslutcsvcp.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...ps6w0ac50g.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pssm3umb0d.jpg

214Chevy 12-31-2016 06:52 PM

Man, those wheels makes the car look like a whole new car. And I like the no-stripe look much better too. Very nice!!

WSSix 01-01-2017 09:18 AM

Looks good! I think it's going to look great once you get the suspension on there and can bring it down a bit. Good luck moving forward!

Just sayin, it's nice to see an American motors project . Your rebel is takin shape. Since we don't see many or any 67 rebels anymore , the overall look reminds me of the 68-69 Holden monaro body shape , thanks for sharing

Jimbo1367 01-08-2017 09:03 AM

minendrews68 02-20-2017 08:02 AM

Very nice! I had a friend in high school that bought a Rambler "The Machine". one of the nicest cars i've seen. He actually bought the car a couple of years after graduation.

1badsc 03-08-2017 05:56 PM

67goatman455 03-12-2017 06:36 PM

I don't mind the stripe too much but i think it would be a lot better if the "fat" part was somewhere around twice as wide or so. just too skinny of a stripe on that big hood for me.

What i do love on this car is the "bullets" in the front fenders and rear quarter panels that tie into the bumpers, but the bumpers being chrome just throws off the flow a lot. I think it would look sweet to paint match the bumpers and then black out the complete grill and headlight buckets and have the chrome trim on it in red like the VW GTI's do? just thinking out loud lol

1badsc 03-14-2017 07:12 PM

well Scott we think a lot alike never thought about blacking out the grille though and the red sounds kinds neat too bumpers were on my radar from the get go but very hard to find and i really don't what to do it to these bumpers for the reason thinking about a six inch wide stripe instead of 4 inch so well see and thanks for thinking out loud ..... David

1badsc 03-28-2017 03:47 PM

had the new windshield installed today and they did a great job the guy that painted the car had the moldings siliconed on why no idea the pins were all there for the clips so it all back with the clips like it should be so heres a couple pics the mirrors came out great with turn signals behind the mirror and the red looks pretty good too something a little different .....http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psv5gsqrrz.jpg....http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pst1degvvb.jpg....http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psmhjqb4pu.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pszjzobfbz.jpg....http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psekp7pbvh.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psasrpg6jp.jpg...http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psqrexhepq.jpg..http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psfijdtain.jpghttp://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psfet5fllt.jpg.....
