WOW! I didn't think you'd have to do that much work. Good luck with it.

Just curious WSSix, why would you not think this much work would be required. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Looked like it was in better condition after sandblasting aside from the floor and trunk is all.
|
Yeah, we hoped we didn't have to do this much metal work either. There just was rust in a lot areas. Once done, it will lady a long time. It is better job to replace panels than put so many patch panels in the car. The quarters are great examples, we would have had to repair so many areas it just makes more sense to replace them at factory spot welds.
Thanks Mike |

Thats so cool.

71 Formula Brewster Green Project
5 Attachment(s)
Just wanted to get some updated pics up
We are working slowly as we are on an extended build time to spread the cost over time. However, some progress is being made. The DSE Quadralink and rear end will be ordered this week. We are also putting a DSE Subframe in as well. The Fesler glass kit was delivered last week. I知 interested to see if anyone has any feedback using that kit for the second gen f body. Also, the renderings have been revised to go with a more classic formula look vs all the body mods |
Hope you modify the fender (73 style brace) to 70-72 since you are doing sheet metal work.
|
Been following along lurking. Good to see it's moving forward. I'm interested in how the fit is on the Fesler glass.

Ben did my renderings as well. I also noticed you are using the Fesler kit. Did it work out ok for you? |
Updated rendering looks fantastic. I still love the color choice and a glad that's staying.
The only thing I would change is to add some sort of rear spoiler even if it's just a small duck tail. To me, the rear of these cars just doesn't look right without something back there. Good luck moving forward. I'm glad progress is being made. |

As someone who owns a 71 T/A, 74 T/A and 76 T/A I have to say...I actually prefer the non spoiler look for the 70-73 birds. I think the best looking car on the planet would be a 73 Formula with the Formula hood, wheel spoilers but without any rear spoiler whatsoever. In my opinion...that is the right formula. |
Door handles look awesome! How easily do they operate?

Thanks Sy. I知 hopeful by the builder can get some more progress made between now and end of June. We are taking it slow as I can find it but as you can see a bunch of large ticket items were just purchased so there should be plenty to work with now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Perfect ! Love the back end too. Nice spoiler, front looks good, great project !

I like what's going on here. From your renderings, what wheels did you decide on?
|
I kin-dig it!
Love the Kindig handlesa and LOVE that you kept the 71 only fender vents!
Wish like hell we'd have kept those on mine! Loving the build! |
