Thanks for any help you guys can give me! Here's what I know for now...
- Stock subframe
- Complete (front & rear) Ridetech coil over suspension
So wayback it was going to be a stock subframe and it looks like you all are correct it's a DSE...my bad.

Still a bitchen car

jeff hanson 12-14-2017 06:26 AM

Ha, thanks man. Yea I wish someone could post for me. That would be great!
Using DSE sub and Quadralink.
The motor came out sweet. I'm working on a custom set of valve covers to hide the coils. I'll definitely post pics when those are done. I'm in the process of possibly starting a small company to build a few things that everyone here would use... More to come on that.
By the way, I'll be gone from the 20th-30th so if i wasn't bad enough already, probably no updates for a little bit.lol

Yea, you know how these things go... Let's see, changed the suspension, changed what engine I was going with. Was just going to be a laid back street cruiser, now I am doing a cage, want to run 9's at the strip, Autocross, and take it to Pikes Peak!!..lol.
Let's see what else I can change!! Actually, I've pretty much got everything nailed down at this point. Now I just need to get it done!

That is so true and I think we call it project creep.

So the only thing I can see you changing is the seats since you would need different seats for each event you would like to do.

Haha, yea maybe. The Pikes Peak idea is more of a pipe dream but something I would love to do!

Pikes Peak????? I wouldn't have the nads to attempt that climb.
Have you seen this video:https://lateral-g.net/toyo-tires-pres...ing-hoonicorn/

Now there's some ballsy driving.

When these builds take some time to finish, along comes new stuff that changes your vision, then the build takes on a new direction & $$$.

Car looks good, :gitrdun:

Yea, seen that. It just got me pumped to want to do it even more! That looks so fun! I'm not into drifting but just ripping up that thing would be an absolute riot! I might have to make this happen...
Hmmm, maybe I should start a Pike's Peak go fund me page!!:drive:

Got a few things done over the weekend. I was out of town from the 20th-30th but at least got this weekend to work on the car.
Getting the hang of this whole welding thing. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out but I really need to learn how to Tig. A Tig weld is so much cleaner. Just being picky...
Need to pick up a couple things before I can get the rearend hung but won't be long. I'll be powdercoating the center of the rearend housing the same Bronze that's on the wheels with Satin Black tubes/brackets.
Hopefully have the motor and trans mounts soon so I can get the tunnel and firewall done.
Hope to have more updates soon!!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...935210e959.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b63fe4425e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6461c4acb0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...546db864e0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4a336dd2ac.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3f3663d2bf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b34df0189a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...158526c730.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7f9ff1d744.jpg

Loving the progress and after seeing this rear end in the Mule I ordered it up for my s10 project. Seeing it again under your car brought back some great memories

I've always loved those rear ends myself. They just look hella cool.

Awesome build progress! What size tires and wheels did you choose?

Thanks

Thanks! Had a good few days working on it over the weekend. Worked 14 hours today at work so nothing got done today....lol
I've wanted one of these rearends for a while. I think the two tone powdercoat will add a nice touch. Looking forward to seeing it under the car!👍
