I'd be curious as to how much time it takes to get that passenger door to fit.

Yep, that door is going to need some work to line up correctly, but that is to be expected. She is coming along great so far, starting to fit some door panels as we speak!

2L8IWON 06-23-2017 06:01 PM

Looks like everything is coming together.

Curious, what color is that in the red wrong? Anvil gray?

Hi, We did not have an exact color in mind when we were planning the rendering. We put the task on the painter to match the rendering the best he could.

I've seen it before and don't know why, but I hate when it happens.

QuintinBrothers 06-30-2017 07:43 AM

Photobucket wants $400 per year for third party image hosting. Shutting down all the PB pics in all forums and holding them for hostage. Nice business model...

I think that's for the free account I believe. If you pay and upgrade to their Premium Account it's probably a different story. They've been sending me emails and so-called discounts to upgrade for years. LOL!!

$400 for third party hosting is the new rule as far as I know. Going to remove photos from a lot of forum archives...

The only way to get back all my pictures on multiple different forums. Needed to do it. I do not think I will be using photobucket in the future though.

andrewb70 07-02-2017 04:14 PM

If you have a business website why not just host your own pictures? Make a directory and imbed them right from there...

Andrew

QuintinBrothers 07-02-2017 06:04 PM

Yes, I will be doing that in the future. The website is in progress and once it is done, I will be doing that. But for now I was using my personal photobucket. Tried using dropbox, but it seemed to be worse?

The website doesn't need t be done. If you own a domain and it is hosted somewhere, just create a directory and FTP your pictures there. That way you have full control.

Coming along nicely!
How is the fit of the Fesler door panels, and how do they attach to the door? I haven't found much information on them.

Great build, can't wait to see it whe it is done.
I noticed you guys will be using the tanks inc fuel tank. Are you going to upgrade the tank with dual fuel pumps to cater the power the engine is going to produce.
Another question regarding the A/C compressor, did you have to notch the frame to have a lower mount A/C compressor??

andrewb70 07-22-2017 03:01 PM

Nice to see the cleaner DBW TB. Looking good!

Hi, Thanks!

We were originally going to be using the Tanks Inc. Fuel tank with the upgraded fuel pump, but it turns out, that it did not fit with our Detroit Speed Tubs.. We are now using a fabricated Ricks Tanks setup.

Also, We did not need to notch the frame, but then again.. We did fabricate our own A/C compressor bracket.

Hope this helps!

Hey, did the fuel tank from tank inc. fit between the spec chassis rear frame rails? wondering if ricks restomod tank would work with that frame set up...

Hi, The Tanks Inc tank was just about a inch to wide to fit.. The new RICKS Tanks does indeed fit great!
