How do you plan to put 345's on a thirdgen? Without some serious work, they would stick out way past the fender... Please let us know..
You a member of www.thirdgen.org by chance? Jason |
345
The car is getting mini tubbed and yes I am a member of third gen under 1984 camaros. The car was in paso robles at lemmons headers a few months ago

To my knowledge, we can't "mini tub" our thirdgens due to the coil spring location.... I hope you can prove this wrong. Too bad I was unaware of the car here in town, I LOVE seeing nice thirdgens due to them being so few and far between... Jason |
mini
Yes you have to change springs, shock mounts and lower control arm mounts

Thanks. I have not seen the camaro since jan of 2006 when it was shipped from my shop to toms. Only pictures he e-mails. Tom is one of a kind.
|
Yeah, he is one mental puppy. Turbos, intakes and those Converse sneakers...lol. One of the times I fly out, it'd be great to see your car run. He told me some of the sick things you are doing to it. Definitely a clean and sneaky ride. I am sure you surprise the heck out of some people.
|
Yep keep it stock looking has been my number one. It has been lots of waiting but the car will be first of its kind. I can let you know when its complete. Again thanks for your imput. And mite I say thats one fine ride you got
Randy |
Fantastic ride. Do you know if there are SFI approved flex plate and scatter shields available for the 4l80e? Also, what rear end gear are you planning to run?
|
Nice ride Randy!! My Dad is the first and only owner of a very clean '85 Z28 that is white w/ red interior and a 350 crate motor....your car gets me thinking of the posibilites!! :)

Here is a picture of the 345s tucked under the camaro and added pic of tin work.

That looks great! Just tucked under the right amount. Do you happen to have any pics of the sheetmetal work required to make them fit?
Very nice. Kory |
sheet metal
The sheet metal work is not done yet. But they are working on it so I will post pics soon. The full interior will be in place only a slight mod to lower seat

Your car
Hello
I wanted to say once again, very nice thirdgen camaro. I have a 1992 z28 with very similar goals in progress. You have more than exceeded what i am trying to do. But I love the progress that you are making. What size turbos are you running now? I am either going to run a couple of t60-1's or t70's. Do you have any more motor pics ready yet? And is that ecm better than the fast system or big stuff 3? I am currently running the fast ecm on mine. Once again great looking car.............. keep the updates coming.................... later, Robbie Sheffield 1fas92 |
Looks outstanding !!! Do you have any pictures of how the rear suspension was reworked to give you that kind of room? That is the one modification I have been wanting to do to my 91 for many many years, but don't really know how to go about it. Thanks for the pictures! I have been contemplating selling my 91' , not anymore....

NICE !! I don't mean to pry, but do you have any more under the rear shots? I am extremely interested in how everything is mounted under that thing...This is something I am seriously going to look into for my 91'. I have nothing in the traction department and this looks to be a cure with killer looks to boot. I give you 2 thumbs up man! Looks outstanding !! What details can you give me about what was used? Thanks for your time!
