The steering shaft will take a bit of creativity! http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psbq7pvbwg.jpg |
Looking good bro. I can wait to see you stuff some fat rubber out back.
|
The trans tunnel is done along with the driveshaft tunnel to make room for a 4" driveshaft.

That is just too sweet how the exhaust is sliced right in line with the under body and chassis. :king:

Awesome work...such a cool build.

Nice details.

Wow nice job!

Got my Wegner Motorsports accessory drive installed. All I can say is WOW!
http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psbymeszh9.jpg Steering is mocked up.......... http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psinwueeiu.jpg I'll take the opportunity to give a shout out to Ididit. I purchased one of their columns about 7 years ago. The top of the column had become sloppy. When calling them for parts, they asked for the serial number and told me where to find it. Without asking for dates, proof of purchase.....................asked nothing...........They offered to repair the column, free of charge. All I had to do was ship it to them. What a pleasant surprise. Tore apart the headlight buckets for blasting and power coat http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psibatxvzo.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psoc4fyktl.jpg |
Nice progress. You should be driving pretty soon.
Good to know on the IDidIt column. I was looking at those and a friend was trying to talk me into a Flaming River. I really liked the IDidIt column a bit better and I felt (pure opinion) it was built a little better. For me service post sale is often the deciding factor in decisions like these. |
The intake tube is finished and getting the wiring, TCM, and ECM placed........

Fantastic build.
I have had similar experience with Ididit. I was given one of their columns for a Christmas gift once. Never came out of the box for several years, then that project was sold off. The new project needed a different size column. When I reached out to them, they said as long as I covered shipping then they would swap one for the other free of charge. This was at least 5 years later. I was blown away. How many companies would do that?? They will always get my business and support. They know good customer service! |
What are you going to do for a brake booster? I'm running hydroboost on my 61 Impala and I love it.

x 2 on the Hydroboost.............It's Fun spending Tracy's money !!!!!!! |
I am going to run a hydroboost. I should have just gotten one from work and made the mounting plate for it. I was told 3-4 weeks when I ordered it, we are now on 7. A bit frustrated. I'll leave names out of the discussion for now.
|
Bummer about the delay. Nothing more irritating than ordering something that takes longer than anticipated.

Old becomes new, but still retains old look, i love it! |
I did not realize 3 weeks was actually made up of 53 days....................
Can finally get going on the firewall http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psf5sqnqep.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psrj5too1x.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...psg0sshnok.jpg |
Three weeks, 53 days.. it's like horseshoes or hand grenades. How close do you want to be? :sarcasm_smiley:
On a positive front it looks nice. Looks like this bracket turns the nitrogen cylinder to the top. Is that correct? |

Pics to come! |
Nice on the powder coat!
Plus those knock off wheels are cool. I see the holes where the block off plate was installed, which AC system are you going to run? I noticed the larger hole for the wiring. Is that for an American Autowire Highway One kit? |
