Sweet looking build, keep up the good work!
Please post some photos of the ECM mounted once its installed. I'm looking for some good ideas to steal for my car haha. I'll also need to find a hiding spot for TCM but you get to skip that part. |

The clock keeps ticking to when this thing needs to be in the body shop and it seems like i'm not making a whole lot of progress towards that goal. It's just over a month away and i have a bunch more mock up that i'd like to get accomplished before this old girl needs to be taken back apart.
So what better time that to try to learn how to TIG weld and build a custom stainless exhaust! :badidea: Went out and purchased a Miller Diversion 180 TIG machine, did a bunch of reading and YouTube video watching and started practicing. Damn, i have lots of practice to do! Made some pretty decent progress this weekend until an inadvertent slip while using the hole saw ended my day of work today. Got to head off to urgent care to get a 4" slice in my hand stitched up. I"m pretty happy with the exhaust work so for considering my novice state. hopefully next weekend will bring more progress and no trips to the ER. On a good note, I've been able to get the brake and clutch master cylinders mocked up and plumbed and also received the new Recaro seats that have been on order forever. |

Here are another coupe pics showing the current state of the engine compartment and the new seats. New seat is the passenger side, driver side is one of my old ones.

Chris - looks like an awesome build. Those Speedtech Extreme frames allow for some insanely wide front tires! I know LT4s from the factory have electronic PS... are you running PS on yours? Don’t remember seeing a PS pump on the front end accessory drive in your picture, but maybe I missed it. I have a ZL1 with that motor and the low end torque is amazing... look forward to following your progress!

Gotcha - I see it now... was looking for the reservoir. Is that a Drive Junky front end accessory drive? I briefly considered an LT4 for my build and, at that time, no one had an accessory drive that included power steering, but know a couple have since been released. Those front tires are wider than my rears! I’ll be running 305’s in back but only 255’s up front on my Chevy II... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Looks killer man!!! Those seats are dead sexy too.
Impressed how much metal work you have done on this thing, looks good. Love the trial by fire. :drive: Sean |

I don’t believe I had to make any modifications for the drivers side knock sensor to fit under the header. It’s a tight fit, but it works. I installed a significant amount of heat shield on all of the wiring for the knock sensors and the starter. All of this wiring is very close to the headers. I can try to take some pics of the area when I have the car back up on my lift if you’d like to see a visual. |

Subscribing! I am anxious to see the finished product! Kudos to you for tackling a lot of the work yourself. Hopefully you can get back on it pretty steady. Good luck!

In the mean time I had a C10 project that was completed and have been playing around with a 2009 ZR1 that I purchased last summer. Gotta get back on the Camaro! |
Do you have a build thread for the C10? If not, more photos please! :goggles:

Haha! Yes, details! I bought the C10 several years ago from a guy that had converted it from a long bed. He put a new box on it and painted it the truck’s original color. The cab and front clip had original paint, and still do. It came with the truck arm rear suspension, turbo 400 and the ever so gutless 307. When it was converted to a SWB, it was c notched and the front suspension was dropped as well. It ran with shortened coil springs. The cab had the usual rust issues in the rockers and cab corners. I drove it for a few years like this and pretty much used it as a cruiser and shop truck. The first pic is a pic of it back then.
When Covid started I got a wild hair to completely blow the truck apart and revamp it. I took it apart in march of 2020 and had it back on the road one year later. I repaired all the rust in the cab, installed complete TCI front and rear coil over suspension, installed an L33 All aluminum LS with a 4L60e I had sitting in the shop, Wilwood disc brakes with hydro boost, new wheels and tires, relocated the gas tank, and all new electrical and plumbing. Here’s a bunch of random picks from the build. Unfortunately I didn’t write a build thread for it. |
Very nice 👌

x2 Looks great! I wish those L33s weren't so hard to come by. I'd love to use one in a build one day.

Awesome! Thanks for the follow up info and photos.

I received the shell back in August or so of 2020 and it sat in my car trailer while the C10 was being finished up. Since then, I have been cranking away. It’s wired, plumbed, and mostly mocked up. I was hoping to get it back to my body guy to get that finished up but he’s way behind schedule and it’s not looking like he can take the car back until this fall sometime. So, now my plan is to keep moving forward, and get to a point where I can start the car, check all electrical systems, and make sure everything is working before it goes back to the body shop. Probably a better plan anyway…. Here are a handful of progress pics. |
I want to know what inner wheel wells did you use???
Looking at the wiring harness's do you have a harness coming out of each side of the firewall??? noticing the hole on the drivers side, |

Very Cool, I'm laying things out, My plans also, PCM inside and the harness thru the firewall,
How thick is the foam you have in the interior?? I'll look at the Speedtech site, always gathering ideas to implement on my car, |
