Looks to me like his motor is missing some critical parts --- and it seems to have sucked a rag in.... Gonna be hard for him to see out that winder.....

Nothing a Homer bucket and some coat hangers can't handle.

clill 02-02-2018 06:19 PM

Just.....fits under the hood.

DBasher 02-02-2018 08:49 PM

Jimmy Rushwheel and I go back a bit, lol.

Zspoiler 02-03-2018 06:03 AM

Nice ride. You are going to surprise a lot of people with this car. Especially with all the mods you have done.Because a lot of people don`t know what it is.Or just think its just a cruiser. I grew up with these cars and they neat then .With all the styling they had then ,Good luck to you.

214Chevy 02-03-2018 11:14 AM

Speaking of wheels, have you decided on a set/brand yet Charley?

He ever tell you about me going to fetch his broken down Buick --- and pulling the motor etc for him?? LOL

DBasher 02-03-2018 03:38 PM

He said you pretty much stole his car, (after getting him off the side of the road) fixed everything and gave it back to him. He’s a good dude, you’re pretty decent yourself.

Hopefully Charlie doesn’t f*** up the wheel choice.

clill 02-03-2018 03:47 PM

Whatever the wheels are I’m going to paint them battleship gray like Gregs ugly ass truck

DBasher 02-03-2018 03:56 PM

Perfect, they’ll match your polished floors.

Sweet Charlie!

GregWeld 02-19-2018 05:23 PM

Hurry up! September is coming up fast!

clill 02-19-2018 05:31 PM

One of us does not need to paint and upholster our project.

Stuart Adams 02-19-2018 05:37 PM

Awesome build Charley. That is going to have a huge cool factor.

kwhizz 02-21-2018 05:12 PM

Awsum.........

DBasher 02-21-2018 06:21 PM

I like the color you’ve done on the firewall....

BBC71Nova 02-21-2018 07:17 PM

Wow! This is a awesome build. Not that we'd expect anything less from Sled Alley and yourself. With some Stielow secret sauce mixed in.

Here's to hoping this one rolls into B'ham with the PowerTour this year :-)

As my boys would say “that’s dope”. Not only is everything tucked up into the frame (I’m assuming) but the floor has been dropped which makes things nice and roomy for a normal sized, 6’+ person to be comfortable.

As the interior goes back together are you sticking with a stock styled layout and patterns with upgraded materials?.....hint, the answer should be yes.

Looking good CL!
:thumbsup::flag2:

rustomatic 02-28-2018 05:13 PM

Someone needs to invent see-through carpet and sound deadener. It would be nearly as good as silent Velcro.

clill 02-28-2018 05:18 PM

Stock interior was nice and will go back in. Should be able to trim the console and make it go back in also. Matt says the gas tank should hold just over 25 gallons.

NAPA 68 03-01-2018 05:38 AM

Stupendous!

Makes my work look like Ray Charles was working on it

zz430droptop67rs 03-01-2018 07:22 AM

That is the nicest work I've ever seen.

It's would a shame to cover it with sound deadener and carpet.

clill 03-01-2018 07:36 AM

When it is done I will stand there looking at a stock car and wonder what is special about it other than the rims.:headspin:

extralight 03-01-2018 07:11 PM

Super cool build, love it!

Which is what I will tell you exactly when I offer $18,000 - which you will accept to take it off your hands when it’s done...the rims I’ll repaint gray :buttkick:

clill 03-02-2018 04:27 AM

Great idea.

kwhizz 03-02-2018 09:46 AM
