Jay Hilliard 03-11-2005 05:18 AM

Hello....I live in Pittsboro, NC about twenty minutes from Chapel Hill (home of the Tar Heels) or 2 hrs from Charlotte. I am a UNIX Systems Analyst working for a leading pharmaceutical company. I have a great wife who understands my passion for cars and two boys ages 4 and 1. I try to work on my 69 Camaro (shock  ) every free moment I get, which lately has not been many with my two little ones keeping me VERY occupied. But thats fine also. To me, spending time with your kids is the best gift you can give them.

Welcome Zak! Cool! :) You're only about a half an hour from me on the other side of town. I take you work at ECMF? The company my father used to run was heavily involved in that project.

Payton King 03-11-2005 07:44 AM

Me?

Originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas and went to U of A...Wooo pig Sooie. Turned 40 this year and said that my car was going to be done for my 40th birthday...that did not happen. Just as long as it is done while I am 40 and not 41...it will be close as I turn 41 in Sept. Anyway, I have lived in Charlotte, Nc for about 8 years now and I am a State Farm Insurance agent.

Have a beautiful wife and 2 junior car guys, Hunter 5 and Dylan 2.5. As long as she does not know how much I am spending on my car, we will be married forever unless she trades me in on a newer model with less miles.

gchandler 03-11-2005 04:09 PM

Glad you like the show, there is some really funny stuff coming up. My personal favorite is a skit with kit from knightrider. Not sure when it will air, but it has the best line of dialog in the whole season. "if he can talk, he can party."

My name is Jack and I live in NYC. I'm 51 years old. I'm married and share my house with 4 girls - my wife - my daughter (a real car guy) - and our 2 Shar-pei (who love me no matter what). I'm an auto service manager that worked for 2 dealers in 31 years and who has now had 3 jobs in the last 6 months - maybe soon to be 4. I have always been a car guy. 1st love was Corvettes - then the street rod thing followed by the tri-5 thing - now back to muscle cars. I always said I wouldn't do my '69 over until it was OK not to do it stock. The resto mod or pro-touring "style" is right up my alley - I always liked fat on all 4s. So now it's time!

Welcome Matt. You've got a couple of trick parts there. Any chance you'll expand into the first gen F body parts?

RickO 05-18-2005 12:58 PM

Hello again. Third time?

Hi guys, (I know some of you from Team Camaro.)

Let's see there was the original. Then the style change and now the new and improved version. Congrats to Scott and contributors for bringing this to such a high standard.

Age? I'm old (48) but only feel old towards the end of the week. A single Martini Friday night works wonders.

My wife and I have a '69 Camaro that we've been working on. It has finally gotten to the point where it's due to be torn down for body and paint and final assembly. To get us through the hardships of paint prison, we bought a 2000 Camaro SS drop top. Loads of fun but that depleted the car resto-cash-bucket for a full year.

I've worked at three major computer companies and never had to move my desk. (Buy outs.) I work in the HPC space and still after all these years, enjoy my job.

That said, spark plugs are my passion.

Best to all.

Hello, My Name Is...

Hi, I'm Tom, 34, and I live in Orange County, CA. I worked for a small computer security company for 5 years who was just bought by McAfee. I have liked cars for a long time, but growing up the most complicated tool my dad had was a crescent wrench. So, luckily when I bought my '67 RS at 18 we moved next to a guy who repaired UPS trucks for 20+ years and I was able to borrow his breaker bar to remove my head bolts :) Anyway, I sold the '67 and got a '95 Z28, then had to trade that in on a minivan (sad day) since we needed it to get our two girls (now 4 and 7) around. I bought my '68 about a year ago and have been on a crazy spending/thrashing spree to get it done. :willy: I hope I survive, and if I do then I will owe a lot of people on this site my thanks  :hail:
