If that's park, it looks fine, what about the transmission side?
How many bends in the cable? How tight is the bend radius? How is the alignment, does the inner cable travel in a straight line in and out of the housing? After that, disconnect the cable from the column. Does the shifter travel smoothly? Is there slop in the shifter mechanism in the column? I fixed one a couple months back where the column had been taken apart for paint and put together by someone who was not so bright. They left a bushing out and the shift mechanism was bound up in the column. |

So have about 2600 miles on my truck. Other than the faulty mode switch in the tranny all has been good. Anyone have luck with HP tuners to make changes to a "connect and cruise" package? I have read of many issues people have had with the 8L90 transmission (class action lawsuits). So far so good but I have decided to flush mine with the latest recommended Mobil 1 LV HP blue label fluid, just to be safe. Anyone know off hand which of the two trans cooler lines is in/out?

I would think that the port towards the front of the vehicle is hot oil out to the cooler. Matt at Sled Alley could tell you, he just fabbed up trans cooler lines on an 8L90E for Charley's 67 Camaro.

So I splurged on a couple credits for my HP tuners. Once all said and done, I can change the E92 ecu and the t87 tcm. Have several friends that have the same drivetrain combo and they have the same complaint, rpm's to low around town (1000 rpm@30mph). Changed the part throttle shift schedule to now where rpm's are in the 1500-1900 range around 30-40mph. Much happier.
