Matt and crew at Sled Alley clean the shop everyday. Always looks great. His attention to detail is very high. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
LS427 or LT4
A 600+hp/550lbft LS427 NA stroker seems doable with MPFI for the big block look you're after Mark... or a lightly modded LT4 dressed with a cross ram Z/28 air cleaner on top?!

Do an engine bay like this but not an A/C car but the factory BBC heater core box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
That's hot. I think this is a great look. The engine bay is amazing.

Mark, are you going to be using a Holley system for harness/PCM? Are you using the Lokar LS Classic pieces to dress the engine up? Looks great!

Yes Holley ECM. I will use a few Lokar bits like the valve covers. Sled Alley is going to build the cowl air cleaner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Cubic inches or Cubic Money?
My dad always said that all it took to go fast was "Cubic Inches or Cubic Money!"

There were some questions on the air cleaner and the throttle body. This is another Camaro at Sled Alley.

Hobbs Camaro (Old Drag Car)
Some more updates from Sled Alley

It had a crack in one of the tubs from all the drag racing. Matt fixed that and got it tuned up. We have been have a lot issues with noisy Ford 9 inch rear axles. We put a Ford 8.8 in another build and it is quite. I hope the 12 bolt works better also. Time will tell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

308 works for stuff that doesn't matter but 309 is perfect for stainless to carbon steel welding.

Over the years we have found it easier for the rear wheels to order the wheels then build the axle to fit. It is easier to modify the axle tube than it is to get new wheels. I was going to use a retro wheel, but I could not get the brakes to fit. The crew at Forgeline did a lot of work to attempt to get it to work. For me form follows function. I really wanted a retro wheel but I think these look great. If I really want the old dog dish look I’ll swap the brakes to sliders and order new wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
RS5, CR3 or JO3C
It's too bad Forgeline's RS5, CR3 or JO3C wouldn't work on Hobb's Camaro... Those would have fit the look and patina perfectly!
This Camaro, just like its predecessors, will be amazing, thanks for sharing the details Mark! The custom XIX center caps are a really cool touch! |

Are you still using TechAFX for the chin spoiler?
Do you go monoblock wheels nowadays for weight? |
