Jody,
I think you might be on to something with "scrappy"... :) On a different note, Thanks from Texas on the real world connection and updates to the working class of the car world people... I'm sure it's tough finding the time to keep updates going with work schedule and work requirements... Dennis :trophy-1302: |

I wouldn't name it
But maybe something with "Shoe or shoebox" in it Blue Suede Shoe? |

Please say yes and put one in the 55! |
Nope on me using the LT6 in the 55. A cruiser needs torque. The LT4 with a 10 speed will be perfect for this project.
A 8600 RPM DOHC will be good in a track car. Not a cruiser IMO. Stielow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
With all due respect to today’s politically correct climate, just name it “cracker” with the “c” as in charley my nick name for him…

"Crusty"
|
Just plain:
“Ol 55” No ‘d’ |
Maybe name it something along the lines of “Stielows Survivor 55” or just “Survivor 55”. Nothing too fancy, but gets the point across.

My vote (not that it would matter, i'm sure the path is set) would be the 1004 HP ZZ632/1000 for power plant and name it Drive55 (can't drive 55 spin off). At $38K it's a pretty steep price in terms of $/HP compared to the LT4, but Mark might be able swing a deal on it :)

That engine is a thumper. A big cammed up BBC. I have been around a development vehicle and it sounds very angry. If you like open piped Harley Davison motor cycles you will love this thing. It is not my choice for a cruiser. If you want a pissed off pro street engine, go for it. It is a race engine that will run on 93 octane fuel. Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks for sharing first hand knowledge of the 632. |

Here's where he sneaks in a new ZO6 LT6 crate engine that's supposedly in development

Any progress?

Thought I'd resurrect this one and aptly suggest a name for the build, "Cinco de Mayo" on this 5th day of the 5th month.
|
sad to see no progress updates on this one.

It is time to dust off this thread. I’ve started gathering parts for “Betty White”. My wife Laura loves the name. Still sorting out the plan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
woohoo! Can't wait to see the progress!

Another impressive Stielow Build underway! I can't wait to see this one take shape.
