yes, that was at my request. I think it looks good that way. I'll likely have the rails and valley cover done in black to hide it a bit more.

Thanks Stuart, much appreciated. It isn't a build on your level, but should be a cool street car.

A twin turbo LS2??!! Damn, Jody...that thing is going to be hell unleashed. :hail:

I could stare at that intake all day. Nothing makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up more than fabricated aluminum parts. Awesome.

Don't sell yourself short. Should be a very cool car, I can't wait to hear the stories about you pulling the sleeper card on some cocky dudes.

Oh, I know it isn't going to be a piece of garbage, but I'm keeping it pretty simple (at least for now). Yours is going to be very cool.

Jody

I, like others here, anxiously await your finished product. I know it is going to be fully wicked and fully bad. That motor is just the beginning. Way to cool, Jody.

If it was here I would be cracking on it......

clill 11-07-2006 07:37 PM

I think I had a 35-3800 stall convertor put in it when we redid the engine. Kurt can confirm.

I really want to see the Segway with a "POWER TOUR 2007" sticker on it.

How many times do you think you'd have to stop along the way for recharging?

Wasn't there some sort of recall on those things?

Yeah, there have been a few software updates for them. One was for when the batteries went low they had a chance of faceplanting you into the ground. Explains a lot about a certain Mr. Lillard. :P

Stuart Adams 11-07-2006 07:42 PM

Speaking of PT, when are the dates? Nevermind just googled it.

Being limited to 12mph or so on the Segway, Charley should probably start sometime before the end of the year.

For everyone else, it's June 2-9.

Awesome intake Jody. Can't beat those sheet metal intakes. Especially liked the way you ran the lines inside. I am sure more than a few people will be surprised by that beast when you mash the pedal...

XcYZ 11-07-2006 08:05 PM

Have you taken the plenum cover off? Curious about how much work they did to the radius area of the plenum to runner area.

Especially when you want to redo every frickin piece once you buy it.
You should just buy a new Z06 and pick it up at the start of PT, then drive it on home from St. Louis.

Would they let me in with an E55?

Bill Howell 11-07-2006 08:30 PM

Of course. Last year Vintage Racer had his Limo in our group. It was a favorite every night when we all wanted to go to "supper" together. I may just ride with him next year.

Stuart Adams 11-07-2006 08:33 PM

Supper, what is that.. :D

KHShapiro 11-07-2006 09:58 PM

I can't imagine what you've been sticking in that throttle body, and don't you think the deposits you left are gonna hurt the airflow? :_paranoid

No EGT's. I have a dual-wideband Big Stuff 3. I ran 95's on my Procharged 540, but putting the rails under the plenum also requires me to use a short injector. So far a 65 (@ 43 psi) injector is the biggest I can get. Since I'm doing a deadhead system I'm bumping the pressure to 55-60 psi. We'll see what happens. Bigger injectors are being worked on in the short LS7 length.

my injectors are close to 2 3/4 how much smaller do you need?
Does the BS3 have the capability to run multi egts? i havent looked into that aspect of them yet.

The LS7 injector is about 2" long. Don't think it can run EGT's.

okay I'm leaving :P

Bowtieracing 11-08-2006 10:02 AM

Can you Jody post more picks of those Nelson manifolds. Look really really really good!!!

Stuart Adams 11-08-2006 01:01 PM

Called Hogan's today to see if they would make an oil tank for the LS7 and they said they just stick with manifolds - bummer, cool looking stuff.

fatlife 11-08-2006 01:02 PM

try ron davis, but you don't need a dry sump to go to Sema ;)

Stuart,

Tyler (ATS) has the info on what Mark used on his. The round shape and height is critical. There is a new squared tank but both Mark and Tony have suggested that they could not make that shape work. If it does not work you'll lose the engine.

Stuart Adams 11-08-2006 01:19 PM

Yeah I knew the square tank was out, I was hoping Hogan would make one. Hogan's suggested Billett Fabrication is Simi Valley, anybody heard?

Yep,very nice stuff.Although they never returned my phone calls, even after getting all my info.

Stuart Adams 11-08-2006 01:32 PM

They don't make them either, Patterson Enterprises is where they referred me to - they specialize in dry sump tanks. We'll see.
