The moch up seat looks a little high for ya.

The rear cantilever set-up rocks. It's a shame you won't be able to see any of it driving down the highway.

The seat is a little tall. I think he got it from a van or something. I'll definitely have one with a shorter track height. Plus, I had to tilt it back to keep from falling through the floor, as we only had the back supported.

Chris really did a great job on that. I'm trying to come up with a way to at least keep it exposed when you open the trunk. One of my suppliers at work can bend plexiglass. I may have him make a cover for that area.

At least a G! Can you hear the 10K motor sounds I was making as they took that shot?

John - I sent you a pm with my cell #. Hopefully we can meet up. I could sit for hours and talk about your ride...

Progress has been a little slow, but I picked up the car last weekend. The frame is finished, now it is time to start deciding where to stuff everything. Here are a few current photos.

The stance is really sweet, at 5" of ground clearance, the top of the fenders only come up to the middle of my thigh...

I agree the stance is just sweet. One question for you guys, were do you get the new shorter rear half shafts from? That will be one fun ride when you get it on the road!

ok so it all clicked, We never met up in Columbus, and your nova is pretty cool. I have never seen project before believe it or not.

I dig the engine. I think I see those same corvette wheels on nova everyday myself. When do you plan to have it done? Hopefully not columbus 08, or we have some competition with Johns nova.

Thanks. There is a local company that can shorten them for me.

Yea, I guess I should have done a better job of introducing myself earlier. I wish we could have met up in Columbus, but something came up. It's been a bad time for that recently.

Thanks for the compliment.

I got lucky and scored most of the motor cheaply. Before that, I was going to go with a northstar. I'm glad I didn't, the aurora motor is going to be tight enough to try and squeeze everything around.

Those vette wheels are really ugly, but for some reason they look really good when setting on a car slammed that low.

I think you're save for 08. I hope to have the engine running by then (maybe). I want to do as much of it myself as time and skill permits. And I'm actually seriously considering giving it a "rat rod" flat black look after the car is completed and driving it VERY HARD for a while before I finish out the paint and interior...

Jason,

Here's the only one I have right now. I have the front end off to paint it so it won't rust before I'm ready for powdercoating, when I put it back together, I'll take some better ones.

 She's in the weeds.

I've decided to ditch the Nova theme and go for a "pro-sandrail" look. Below are some progress shots:

Just Kidding!

We removed the body from the frame to clean it up some and paint it, just to keep it protected until I'm finished putting holes in it and am ready to send it for powdercoating.

I should have some new toys for it coming in the mail soon - photos following. Thanks Jason (slow4dr)

Throw some paddles on it and go play.
