Well guys unfortunately after 2 years of hard work, it came down to "ONE" individual who cause the boys from making SEMA. Being that we are all enthusiasts, you guys more than anybody can relate to the disappointment and let down thats taken place. Nathan has gone with me to SEMA since he was 14 (I know... you have to be sixteen, LOL) and this is the first year in eight he will not be attending as the air has been let of of his bag.

Al you need to tell him to pack up and get his butt to Sema. Stuff like this happens and there is no reason not to go.

Really sorry to hear they won't be making it after all. Doesn't change the fact that they have and are continuing to do a fantastic job on the car.

I'm confused. Are they coming or not ?

Al sorry to hear this they did some awesome work and should be proud of it. They can't control others. I hope they end up going to SEMA. The under side of hood looks so much better that way.

Thanks guys for the kind words. In summary, the paint shop promised the car done in two weeks. That would have left 3 weeks to put the car back together. They took 4 weeks leaving only one week and no way of getting it running.

Race Ramps didn't though it would be an inconvenience pushing the car onto the ramps so they are using a Cadillac instead.

Kinda took the wind out of the boys but they are dusting them self off and regrouping. Pace was slow down to a more relax level and they are moving on.

Here are a couple of pictures with the mock up plastic engine. It is quite unfortunate that G5.R didn't get to debut as it's looks menacing and will be a great performer considering it's about 4 to 500 lbs lighter and 150 more HP than the upcoming Z/28.

It was also going to debut a new twin plenum intake made from composite that looks killer. The manufacture was having a rapid prototype cut at the expense of about $10,000 just to have it on the car. I wish I could show you guys pics.

From inside the engine bay, the radiator appears to be floating as you can't see any brackets. The shroud in the picture is a mock up. The final version is much nicer, it was made by Derale specifically for G5.R.

Here is a little neat deal they did to the stock intake. Took some HP Sticky shield from Heatshieild Product and used it on the bottom of the intake to reduce the radiant heat off the engine.

They are hoping to get invite at one of the Optima qualifying events next year and and make SEMA after all.

While it's a crying shame AL -- it's not the end of the universe. There are OTHER GREAT SHOWS where it can be debuted. This actually gives them better quality time to do everything the car needs and deserves.
