Thanks Chad, same to you and your family. I'm hoping to be able to make some real updates after the Holidays.
|
Well that's pretty darn cool. I am looking forward to seeing your car on the road. This is a huge step in the right direction !

Nice to see the update Wayne. Good luck going forward. If I wasn't so busy, I'd like to help out. Keep us posted bud! |
Hey Wayne Awesome decision :wow: :wow: Have a great Christmas!
Curious, who's mounts and pipes are going to use? Finally settled in here in NC- Rich |
great choice that LSA looks awesome!!!
|
Thanks JJ I don't even have rollers to put on it to move it around yet. I will definitely keep you in mind!!
Hi Rich Glad to hear you settled in. I got a set of 1-7/8 American Racing Headers and a Magnaflow 3" system for it. Looking into which mounts that will work with them. I was thinking of the dirty Dingo mounts they put the engine in the original bell housing position, then 11/16" forward, then 1 11/16" forward, and the last set position the LS engine 2 1/4 inches forward from the original bell housing position. Not sure how the slider mounts they make are. I also saw some other that only move it a small amount at a time from original the less than an inch at a time. There are so many out there to pick (guess) from. lol Merry Christmas to all of you and your families. |
Congrats on the LSA acquisition.
It'll look good taking up residence at 'stately Wayne Manor'. :D |
Wayne, that's a heck of an upgrade man. Very cool and sounds like a great move.
|
Thank's guys it was a big decision, but one that will make the car more enjoyable in the long run. Plus its my first supercharger.
:theresa: I'm all Giddy like a school girl! |
Wayne, Just looked through your build thread, Man I remember seeing that car when it was tore down to nothing, It has came a long ways. Do you have any thoughts on colors?
|
Congrats on the build! It looks great!
When I opened the first page of the thread I'd thought I'd seen a ghost. My best friend in Highschool that got me into cars has an identical 69 Camaro, vynal top, torque thrusts and all... visually identical to how your car started. First car I rebuilt while in tech school 20+ years ago. First live engine rebuild. First suspension rebuild. First auto trans rebuild. First rear end rebuild. Must have done something right because it's still all running today! Time to get this baby on the road!! |
hey Wayne you going to able to get on the power tour this year? I really want to see this new change of direction.lol wow a lot of people when they change there mind go with a different color NOT go with a LSA.LOL. I love it! now for more pictures! glad to here things are getting better for you!
|
Thanks Eric, I got an E Mail from the dealer January 2nd, the only thing they are waiting for is the engine controller. Then they can ship it all out to me. They offered to send out what they have and the rest when it came in. I told them to wait for it all before shipping it.
Revved If you saw under the rugs you definitely know its A New England car. When I knelt on the back floor my knee went right through. |
I just talked to Paul at C&R Racing they are making my Heat Exchanger with a larger 1" water inlet to use with the Stewart pump. It shipped today, he said it should be here Friday.

C&R Racing Heat Exchanger
I got a nice delivery today, after waiting all day I had to leave with my wife for 15 minutes and when I got home this was on the porch.

It has one inch hose ends so it can match up with the Stewart EMP pump I'm running. They forgot to put the lower bracket in with it so they will ship it out tomorrow. |
It's nice to see that on your steps when you get home. Congrats Wayne!
|
It's nice coming home to car parts!!
:ups: |
I just got of an online chat with the freight company that is delivering my motor and trans to make sure they didn't send a trailer because it would never make it here on these narrow streets, and I don't think we could push it the 300 ft from the nearest main street. But I would definitely give it a go if that was the only way to get it here!
ITS GETTING GOOD NOW! |

Full speed ahead Wayne!

Here's the update I got today. now on Trlr 127643 and on-hand at Harrisburg, PA STRA - The shipment was delayed due to inclement weather. 01/21/2015 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01/23/2015 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only had rain and a dusting of snow this year so far and they get this when I'm getting parts. As Rodney says I get no respect! I tell ya!! Now its Saturday. Well Saturday is my 40th wedding anniversary so atleast my wife won't yell at me when she sees all the extra parts. :relax: |

Won't be long now buddy! |
It's getting close mate!
Are you going to leave the engine cover red, or paint it some other colour? I'm thinking of painting mine and then getting it hydro dipped. I don't mind the red but not too sure it will go with my Rallye Green paint. |
I want to do my cover like kwhizz's son Chris did for his Chevelle. I hope he doesn't mind me copying him but it looks so sweet!
http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...35fb0ed5-1.jpg |
Oh yeah that's real nice. That's the nicest cover I have seen yet.
I wanted to do something similar in that I was going to hydro dip it with a carbon pattern and paint the lettering. I really like the blue edging. |
I just got an update from the freight company that my parts are on the trailer out for delivery. Only problem is they are delivering them to a smaller freight company with a box truck and lift gate so they can get down my street. Of course now it won't be until after the storm unless there are problems with power loss and the blizzard conditions. Oh yeah the new company is on cape cod where they are expecting hurricane winds and 18" of snow.
I hope the internet doesn't go out. Then I'll really have nothing to do! |
