We are also working on getting the 33 Ford wrapped up to go to paint. I have always hated the front windows on the fiberglass 33-34 Fords. They just flush fit the glass and it just looks dumb. So I bought a repo front windshield frame through Pete & Jakes that we mocked up in the car and did some work to make it fit proper. But now we have a swing out window frame.

Cool looking 65, what's the rear suspension under it now?
As someone that's trying to learn chassis design and set up could you take pictures of what you don't like about the suspension? I like your idea of a C notch. I installed the welder series notch and want to redo it, do you sell frame parts? Sorry for all the questions, great looking builds as always! Dan |
okay that is cool.

'33 Fords suck.
Want me to come down and get it after Charley and I run Sonoma Raceway first week of August -- then I could drop it off at Nampa on my way over to Sun Valley.... :>) |
You staying at my house while we do Dirtfish??

Very sweet Roger!! I can't wait to see this one. I love this body style as well. Actually, Pirelli came out with the 375's about 2 years ago for the Viper guys. I don't know how true it is, but it's been said that due to the short sidewall of 20, the tire is actually no wider than a 335 or 345. Nonetheless, it looks very sweet on the a$$ of that truck. Not to mention, it has my favorite brand of wheels. :walkingdog: |
Rodger Very nice. It's amazing that there are people out there that will pay for this kind of over the top quality work.

Sonoma race weekend is AUGUST 3rd/4th/5th (Sunday). Would be pretty dang close to BTucky... but only room for one car. Gwen will have the R8 to hit the wineries... and I'll have the Muttstang... Unless I can talk her into staying home... :>) |
Well it has been a very busy past few months. The shop is packed with more work then we have probably ever had for what seems like some of the best customers on the planet. The 70 Chevelle was delivered to Scottsdale this past weekend for the owner to drive the car back to Las Vegas with his buddies. Nothing like a car seat in the front seat of a customers new car.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...115_081943.jpg We have hired 3 new guys in the past 2 months and looking at hiring another here shortly. We have found a group of talented local guys lately that has worked out pretty well. Ironworks purchased a High Def plasma table about a month ago to begin cutting parts in house. We are working on getting the table dialed in to cut different thickness to near laser quality. It is capable of cutting 2" steel. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...023_141346.jpg Our line of Interior switches are getting out there. SEMA had 2 cars with our switches on display. We have sold the switches in 3 countries now. The Ring Brothers installed our switches in their Pantera project they had on display in the Royal Purple Booth. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...riorswitch.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...52-800x533.jpg Incase you have not heard My wife and I had our baby girl on Oct 7th. She is been an exciting and new chapter in our lives. Thanks to Grandpa Weld for the tool box. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...020_085159.jpg We started on a 1957 Chevrolet that might be one of the most rust free 57's I have ever seen. The customer from Texas has had the car in his family since it was new. The car is getting an Ironworks Chassis, LS3 engine with a T56. The car will be a just a nice car with a very high end stereo to enjoy on the open road. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...18-2013004.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...18-2013003.jpg We are still working hammer down on the 66 Chevy Truck. We have done some really slick details on the truck. But I will save those for the build thread. Here are few overall pics to show the work done. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...-1-2013004.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...-1-2013003.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...29-2013006.jpg We are reshaping the back of the truck to carry the shape of the bed side around the tailgate of the truck. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...-1-2013001.jpg We started the mock up of the engine in an old project that is getting back in the mix. I think this should do the trick. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...010_110958.jpg Don't worry the upper control arms are for mock up only. |
Your switches looked right at home in the RB Pantera.
http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-H...Hwc7fhF-XL.jpg I have a larger version of the image if you need. |
Roger - these are my two favorite pictures that you have posted and it was good seeing at Sema and next year I will buy you a better breakfast then Denny's.
( Just so you know Denny's was Kenny's idea ) Quote:

I got some quality High Res pics from the local photographer today of a special one off chassis we built a few months ago for a customer back east.

This frame turned out really nice. Rodger |
Nice! What does it sit under? :poke:

That's a Chevelle chassis. I'd know one anywhere. Lol! Looking damn good Rodger.

Rodger Very Nice. Top quality stuff!!!!

Rodger,,always wondered...the shaft inside the torque tube ..when the entire tube is lengthened is the shaft lengthened too or a new correct length one made?? I know it has to be critical since it rotates at engine rpm unlike a standard shaft behind a trans........just curious........thanx jim:headscratch:

Well 2014 has already been a very busy one here at the shop. We have grown to 8 guys in the shop, plus my wife and I. We have lots of work going on. Some major projects and some other parts and pieces kinda jobs.
I'm pretty excited about a 55 Chevrolet project we are now doing with Fairway Chevrolet again. It will be a wedge section 55 Chevrolet post on one of our frames with some good past goodies bolted to the new LSX376-B15 crat engine. We hope it will make in the neighborhood of 8-900hp with an F-1 Procharger. Here is picture of what we started with. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...hoppics001.jpg After a lot of cutting here is where we are now. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...oppics2010.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...oppics2009.jpg You can see how much the unmodified fender hangs below the rocker. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...15-2014018.jpg In these picture you can see the gap in the sheetmetal above the intake. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...hoppics005.jpg After http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...oppics2013.jpg |
We have been doing some front sheetmetal "redesign" pretty exactly to the customers specs on this 71 Pantera. Its starting to look like something. Some of the previous work has not been quite up to snuff so we are slowing getting to address that.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...15-2014006.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...15-2013006.jpg We also have a very simple 1957 Chevrolet going together for a Guy Named Ray from Dallas Texas. This car is in great shape for an original paint car. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...18-2013046.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...18-2013047.jpg |
Pretty cool Rodger.
|
Love it.
Darren |
Been waiting to see you guys whack that '55 down to size.
:D |
Very cool.
Is that the 57? Those cool wheels will be going on ? |

Here is some pics of a Duramax Bus we are working on to build a very classy RV. We found super low mileage 2008 Duramax and we plan to use the front suspension and build the chassis with parts from the original truck.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...21-2014001.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...117_105529.jpg We are trying to keep as much of the original under hood stuff to not loose the factory engineering for cooling and such. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...21-2014004.jpg |
I like it!
