I would do that in a minute Rodger but my trans isn't off the shelf I had it upgraded with all the bells and whistles to handle a LITTLE more HP. I'm so use to this BS that it doesn't even phase me anymore.

Okay so I am torn. The round vents give the dash a pretty cool look. However the rectangular vents give flow with the dash.

I see round be different !!!

fleet 12-06-2012 10:16 AM

Mario,

You not too hip to be squ...uh, rectangular.

214Chevy 12-06-2012 11:58 AM

Mario, to me, either way will be sick as the dash is so nicely drawn up and designed anyway. But, for me, preference wise, I like the square vents.

Al Moreno 12-06-2012 01:39 PM

No question.......... Rectangular seems to fit with the gauges and flows better.

Rick D 12-06-2012 02:36 PM

I like the round as Marty said to be different?? I don't know they both look good?? :willy:

Vegas69 12-06-2012 02:57 PM

Circular or larger square vents. Seems like to much no mans land with the current square rendering.

RECOVERY ROOM 12-06-2012 03:03 PM

Round, is first choice for me. You could go with Chevy Sonic vents. I just got a set to put in a car and there not very expensive at all. Just my 2 cents. since you asked. (they look more like a factory offering) I like the whole layout of the dash, Very nice

Thanx Tracy I do think I'm going to stay with the round vents.. Todd good point also..

RECOVERY ROOM 12-06-2012 06:42 PM

There is a lot factory vents I have been looking at that are different sizes and don't cost much at all and work very well in the looks department. I bought a set of Chevy Cruze vents(chrome ring on the edge) and 2 sets of Sonic vents, (black edge and gray edge) for less than a $100 bucks at the dealer.

onefast70elco 12-06-2012 09:22 PM

Definitely round Mario.. Square ones look like they should be in a 80's elcamino! Blah!

Bingo. What Todd said.

The rectangular ones might be more similar in shape to the gauge cluster, but they aren't integrated into the design as well as the round ones are, and in my opinion, really distracts the eye from more important parts of the interior. Plus, I think there are enough round shapes, i.e. switches and knobs, as well as soft edges that round works ok.

Matt

Spiffav8 12-06-2012 09:57 PM

Round gets my vote.

DOOM 12-07-2012 06:17 AM

Thanx guys. Looked at this all night and the round vents are the way to go. Victor did me proud thats for sure!:hail:

GregWeld 12-07-2012 06:46 AM

ROUND IT IS!

 :D

Matt@BOS 12-07-2012 08:20 AM

Glad you chose round. Now Marty doesn't have to nitpick about it being ugly :D

Easy Sparky. I like both just prefer the round. :willy:

fleet 12-07-2012 09:20 AM

If rectangular is good enough for own resident 1st gen physician, Dr. Mark Stielow...

On the other hand, like the saying goes... round up.

:D
