In the car hobby, it seems we ask ourselves those two questions more times then I'd like to say. Who? and Why?, especially Why? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. A lot of my crap, I get a lot of hate mail on, and couldn't care less.

1badsc 09-07-2016 07:39 PM

whats been going on with the amx lately ?

57hemicuda 10-24-2017 05:58 PM

Pulled out of its old home, headed to its new home. Thinking I might actually put a wrench on this thing.

Very nice garage, Ron. Good luck with the AMC!

57hemicuda 12-28-2017 06:32 PM

Finally started messing with this car again, have the front pretty much roughed in. Messing with the back to see if I can find a version I'll be happy with. Its mostly tape and poster paper for now, once find a version I'm happy with I'll build it out of metal

Torquedork is helping with is gnarly Photoshop skills, tweaked the top line to follow roof line better. Still need to lower wheel opening a bit, but its close

WSSix 12-29-2017 06:29 AM

Nice, Ron. Glad to see you're back on this one again. Good luck!

alex n 12-29-2017 06:54 AM

The front looks awesome, I think the back would look better if there was more step to the body line between the roof and quarter panel. Think 69 or 70 mustangish, great project

GregWeld 12-29-2017 07:24 AM

Okay...... I like it.

Is it done yet?

Every morning you have to wake up and say to yourself "AUGUST 28th..... AUGUST 28th..... AUGUST 28th

LOL

57hemicuda 12-29-2017 07:40 AM

Yeah......I have a hot date on that date. Drives the project

65_LS1_T56 12-29-2017 07:56 AM

Is it too late to suggest a wedge chop? Maybe 1 to 1-1/2" at the A pillar..:superhack:

Ron Sutton 12-29-2017 10:09 AM

Hey Ron! Like Greg said.

Around some people I've met that usually means "duck!" :D

57hemicuda 01-03-2018 03:06 AM

Started building the quarters, because the original quarter panel is in place, you can see with the tape measure how much wider the car will get. In the end I still believe it will have an OEM look even with the additional width.

Hell when I see another 66 Mustang Fastback now, I think it doesn't look right, its too flat.

57hemicuda 01-09-2018 07:55 PM

Jtomas801 01-09-2018 08:34 PM

Looks great Ron! What is the track width on that thing? Looks pretty wide from stock.

Jon

>I'll match it on the other side then start on the rear portion'

will you use any templates for that or just wing it like I usually do ?

(Little hint for newer metal fabricators - you can't see both sides of the car at the same time !)

57hemicuda 01-16-2018 01:57 PM
