ED CAPEN have that built??? |
In the car hobby, it seems we ask ourselves those two questions more times then I'd like to say. Who? and Why?, especially Why? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. A lot of my crap, I get a lot of hate mail on, and couldn't care less.
whats been going on with the amx lately ?
Pulled out of its old home, headed to its new home. Thinking I might actually put a wrench on this thing.

Very nice garage, Ron. Good luck with the AMC!
Ron you killed it on the shop build.
very nice!
Finally started messing with this car again, have the front pretty much roughed in. Messing with the back to see if I can find a version I'll be happy with. Its mostly tape and poster paper for now, once find a version I'm happy with I'll build it out of metal

Oh Dang! That is sexy!
The car is looking great. Sweet Garage.
Looks great Ron!
I love your work and I love the new space. How big is your new spot?

Torquedork is helping with is gnarly Photoshop skills, tweaked the top line to follow roof line better. Still need to lower wheel opening a bit, but its close

Keep doin what you do Ron! Gittin stuff done!
Looking great... :superhack: |
Nice, Ron. Glad to see you're back on this one again. Good luck!
The front looks awesome, I think the back would look better if there was more step to the body line between the roof and quarter panel. Think 69 or 70 mustangish, great project
Okay...... I like it.
Is it done yet? Every morning you have to wake up and say to yourself "AUGUST 28th..... AUGUST 28th..... AUGUST 28th LOL |
Yeah......I have a hot date on that date. Drives the project
Is it too late to suggest a wedge chop? Maybe 1 to 1-1/2" at the A pillar..:superhack:

Around some people I've met that usually means "duck!" :D |
Started building the quarters, because the original quarter panel is in place, you can see with the tape measure how much wider the car will get. In the end I still believe it will have an OEM look even with the additional width.
Hell when I see another 66 Mustang Fastback now, I think it doesn't look right, its too flat. https://photos.smugmug.com/Cars/AMX/...2_152858-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Cars/AMX/...2_172013-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Cars/AMX/...2_171947-L.jpg |
That looks killer...really enjoy watching this build!
Getting it tacked together, looks pretty good I think

Is that an 8 or 10' ladder ???
Are you saying I need to stage better pictures? Bitch Bitch Bitch
Looks great Ron! What is the track width on that thing? Looks pretty wide from stock.
Jon |
Rocking. Welcome to the "dually" club.

I measured the AMX, outside of tire to outside of tire was 73", my Mustang was 74"

will you use any templates for that or just wing it like I usually do ? (Little hint for newer metal fabricators - you can't see both sides of the car at the same time !) |
