It's looking good Payton.

Amazing build! Updates?
|
I visited this site for the first time in a few months and was excited to see this thread bumped, but disappointed there are no updates. What an adventure and perseverance from the owner!

So it has been a really long time since I have logged on. Car is sitting idle while DG's Bad Motor Finger is getting some love. Motor work has started and I am behind in posting photos. Let me see where I left off and will get some loaded.
The "loser" comment was hurtful GW. LOL |
Where I left off...we are removing some of the driver's side cowl area. Here are some photos of the pedal box

My custom mufflers came in from Spin Tech. 3.5 inlet and 3.5 outlet. Here is the tricky fab work from Pettigrew

This is the other side making the transition from oval to round tube.

That looks pretty low quality. You better have a sit down with your builder.
I try to be helpful, unlike GW who can be just plain hurtful. :headspin: |

I hope people know we're friends.... Glad to see some really great updates!! Go Panthers! |
Nice Payton!
Throw that old rusty stamped sheet metal away and put some nice carbon fiber on it like it deserves. I like that Jim and you brought in DG's car in as a lab rat to test questionable mods for your project. Strategy! |
BAMM!!!! ' drops tig torch :getout:
|
We're buddies and all, but if the shoe fits. LOL

that fab work would look simply fantastic just clear coated....love it...

That's badass!

You can learn alot from that BMF build. :bigun2: lol |
I am happy it's you building this car because this build is way past my pay grade.
On a side note the exhaust is very cool and I can't wait to see more updates. |

That's some serious stuff right there Payton. The car looks amazing.

Thanks guys!
I guess that I am a dumb ass as I have no idea who that statue is... |
So DG's car arrived at Pettigrew's and i decided I had to see it with sheet metal on it before we stopped for a while.

As low as this car sits, 4 inches at the frame at the firewall and 4.5 inches at frame in front of rear wheels, we were going to need to cut the front fenders. This is the first rough cut just so we can get the wheels on. I am going with Sutton's high travel low roll strategy and will be traveling the front wheel 3.75 inches.
