Wow I love seeing nice neat work like this, it shows pride in what you do.
Looking nice! |
That's an awful lot of work for a dead project. :snapout: Hahaha!
That looks great! :) |
Thanks Sieg.
|
CHRA has done more in a few weeks than Pinkee's did in the last 2 years..... and for about 10% of what Pinkee's billed.
|
Looks very nice
So what color are you going to paint this truck. |

  |
That's some nice work there Greggo.
|
Effin nice shots Sieg....apparently you dont just take pictures of dogs n birds? lol (love those too btw, glad u know your way around a camera, i dont:confused18: )
|
LOVE seeing pretty custom work Greg (Sieg). Progress is always good!
Tell me, lines and breather in the wheel well? Sorry, not a classic truck guy so honestly don't know if that's standard. |

I don't know -- I just pay the bill..... LOL Yes --- this is a real tight engine space - not much room there to sneak stuff that's up front back past the headers and all that heat. These old cars are pretty f'n narrow in the snout! This truck is going to be bitch'n' !! |
I didn't take the pics.......I'm just GW's landscaper in this situation. :sieg:
|
#plumbing
Thanks for posting the pics Sieg...looks great. |
|
Landscaper? Hahaha
Thanks for posting the pics for GW then, I was beginning to wonder about this beauty. |
Love the modern door latches too Greg. I've always wanted a pair of those myself.

Freak'in Awsum !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks sieg for posting!!!
Rear glass fenders are coming off and the "bad/unrepairable" steel fenders are going on. CHRA says the rear fenders only need a few hours work in order to be used. Funny huh!? I no longer like the Steve Moal gas cap. So that's also going away. Also the LS3 is out and a new Don Hardy Race Engines in the 500 ish HP range is going in. Maybe a few surprises there too. I love the work that Custom Hot Rods of Andice is doing!! First class shop. First class people!! |
I wonder when Charley and Ed are gonna tell ya about the paddle shifted 6 speed they ordered for it?
#checkURwallet #scopekreep :G-Dub: lol |

You see how distracting the Moal cap is..... so it goes away in favor of the more stock appearing full cap. Although - of course - it won't be "stock". 💯😂 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Truck looks great. Glad to see the progress. |
Good call on the Moal cap. It's a great looking piece, just not on this truck. I see the spray outs they've got there, what are you thinking?
It's good to hear you're happy with the shop and the quality of work they're doing...priceless. |
Good call on the cap Greg. Just doesn't fit the truck well. Don Hardy huh? You sir are a rock star!
|
I LOVE the truck. Good call on the cap, it looked to be a bit much on the truck. I really like the wheels you chose, perfect sizing for it.

The build is now complete.............LOL |

The darkest grey there ---- with the beltline done in mat black and then pinstriped --- Wheels (they're billet) will be polished hoop - mat black "spokes" with the spacer gloss black -- polished poverty cap. Engine compartment will be a few tone on tone - mat and gloss..... |

Wayne --- there's a "couple" in every group aren't there. Funny -- 3 years ago the truck was at Pinkee's -- and these two managed to squeeze in to the cab... and here we are again. Don Hardy built the LS motor in my '33 hiboy..... a 480HP version. Motor was awesome! And yes --- we're all hot rodders.... and "Stock" just doesn't do it for us. Day one on the tour I was driving 700HP ---- Day 2 thru til the end I was driving a RamJet 350..... I can tell you with certainty that I like the 700HP WAY better. By the time we got to Austin (Andice) I'd already made up my mind that 430HP wasn't going to get it done. LOL |
:waveflag: surrender to the power!
|
Lsa..............lsa................lsa........... ..
|
Horsepower IS a drug... We're just lucky it isn't regulated. :D

I know you love the LSA but they're far too tame for my liking. For me it's got to SOUND like power. Rudy and I both commented about how quiet the '65 was when you went buy us a couple times. I prefer motors that are a little snotty. |
WOW, looks killer, love the wheels!

Thanks Joe! I'm trying to build the truck to "appear" at first glance -- rather "stock"..... so if you just saw it running down the road - someone might say "look at that cute old truck" --- but to people that really "see it" --- they're going to have to walk over and take a look.... or if they hear it -- they're going to have to come see what the hell is going on there..... LOL Personally I think the wheels make the look. I'm also building this to be a daily driver --- so all of that plays into what I'm trying to accomplish. Have it be "playful" but daily driveability... so simple paint (repairable) - simple systems - parts I can get on a road trip (starters and alternators and bearings etc). |
