Dr EFI Andrew - Wiring Specialties Coil Harness Redo (( 03-02-23 ))
Once again Dr EFI Andrew to the rescue. Since, I had given up on moving the wire (Yes I failed and so did a couple other Guys ) Andrew
told me to ship it to him and less then a week later it was back and it worked perfect. Thank you again Andrew you are the best !!! http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...36fffb0-me.jpg I remove the Painless Harness that I borrowed from a friend. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...85ff1d8-me.jpg As you can see it's not as pretty as the Wiring Specialties Harness http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...20bea52-me.jpg Wiring Specialties Harness going back in. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a90f40a-me.jpg All Better http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...1b5c5a7-me.jpg Let's not forget the passenger side. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4e51745-me.jpg All Better. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...38aa77e-me.jpg |
Holley Dash Wiring (( 03-03-23 ))
I can't tell you how excited I am to be working on the interior and yes the Christmas Tree is still up and it has not come down since 2002.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...004cc44-me.jpg Pieces and Parts http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...95134ea-me.jpg The Dash insert comes with a very nice bracket to support the Holley Dash. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...009f59f-me.jpg I needed to clean out the threads as the supplied hardware would not screw in. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...f05becc-me.jpg Another quick trip to on the four Home Depots within 3 miles of my home. I purchase yet another (can't find mine) 2" Hole Saw. My plan is to drill a slightly smaller hole then necessary which will allow for a tighter fit. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5696d71-me.jpg Cluster Installed. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...73c55f7-me.jpg You can see where I plan to install the Autometer Analog Clock. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ec732ff-me.jpg I poke a small hole in the ''Classic Dash" Surround. Link to the surround https://classicdash.com/product/1970...ck-dash-panel/ http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...23c8b8b-me.jpg I put down multiple layers of blue tape to protect the Dash Surround. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...24807de-me.jpg Hole is drilled and I will clean it up with a Dremel & round sanding disk. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...64c6447-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9c9b509-me.jpg Ugh more wires... http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...84b75b7-me.jpg I installed a 3/16'' heat shrink on the three loose wires. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...e54451c-me.jpg The main harness is secured to the firewall ad all other loose wires are currently being held in by twist ties. Once the wiring is complete some of the twist ties will be replaced with zip ties. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...cd40816-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a3749c8-me.jpg Wiring Notes http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...7caec52-me.jpg Opps I found another wire I need to connect and yes I am going to use a switch on this one. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...305390b-me.jpg |
Autometer Clock Wiring (( 03-05-23 ))
Finally wiring that is stupid simple.
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3af6407-me.jpg. I installed a little bit of the Tech-Flex sleeve on the power & ground. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...be16b21-me.jpg I need to extend the illumination wires. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b8ca5b0-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b748690-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a85d1f1-me.jpg I am telling you guys you all need a bike Mechanics stand. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...c91b0d3-me.jpg |
Holley Dash Wiring (( 03-05-23 ))
Routing the wires for the Holley Dash
http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...2316542-me.jpg I tried to make the power wires look factory even though no one will ever see them. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...c32a32a-me.jpg Of course I labeled all of them. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...fe6bab3-me.jpg Since I am not using the factory radio I am going to use the power from the radio harness to power the Holley Dash. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...88c4f64-me.jpg I dug out the wiring diagram for the radio so I know where to connect the wires. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ecde559-me.png |
Anvil Radiator Close Out. (( 03-09-23 ))
I just want to say the guys at Anvil are the best. I called them and told them my closeout panel didn't match the inner fenders
and the new radiator cover. Immediately I received an email from them and they took unbelievable care of me. Here is the new piece that arrived in the mail days later. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...b0391c4-me.jpg It's a perfect match and they have unbelievable, customer service and I can't say enough kind words. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6ef3218-me.jpg Since the Coil Harness is new perfect (( Thank You Andrew AKA Dr EFI )) I secured the harness to the back of the cylinder head. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...1075dff-me.jpg Secured http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...0de9ce1-me.jpg |
Anvil Carbon Inner Fender Install (( 03-11-23 ))
I can't tell you how excited I am to get both of the inner fenders in the car and thankfully Mike is coming over to help me with the passenger side.
::poke: Certain wire will need to be extended. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...db8b342-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...dd2e166-me.jpg You can see how the wires are routed under the fender. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...2af2d28-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...fb9b47b-me.jpg One more piece of the car out of my attic office. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3469f39-me.jpg If you look closely on the left you can see a very cool old stadium seat. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4cc2632-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...daf921c-me.jpg Mike and I slid the inner fender in and of course we needed to modify it just a little bit to clear the brake line bracket. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...02dca41-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...8854324-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...702bffc-me.jpg All better however I am considering making a rubber rain shield to close up the opening. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...6dc48c1-me.jpg Roller is back on http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9b43b69-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...bd675fd-me.jpg |
Looks awesome! :king:
