We have paint! I had a couple of colors to choose from since PPG has more than one formulation for Code 52 Garnet Red. One is a brighter red like Regal Red from the mid 60's GM color chart. The other was a deeper red and matched the rear speaker area, dash end, and floor rails that were still in their original factory color. I think the darker Garnet red will be good with the black stripes amd darker wheels.:)

PERFECT COLOR -- My personal all time favorite '69 color. Glad you chose the more "correct" darker version.

Awesome choice!

Thanks guys! I wanted a red that was a little less common and the factory color the car came in happened to be it. The body was in wetsand today and should be shot in the next couple of days.

Paint looks great. Is it going to get the hockey stick stripes as well?

Here's a few more of the painted part shots. Hood, truck, valences, and front grill are in the booth right now. Car is all washed up and clean, in line and ready to go in the booth tomorrow, for paint Friday and dry time over the weekend. Doors and fenders will be re-hung so they can get the stripes laid out, painted, and then have the final 2 coats of clear applied. Doors and fenders currently only have 1 coat of clear.
