Nice job. I wanted to move my wipers to that spot but it never happened. It looks so much cleaner.

A hole was cut into the shell to gain access to the wiper arms, brackets and wiper motor.

Its a little hard to see but the wiper arm has been extended across the cowl to reach the wiper motor.

Smoothed firewall after relocated wiper motor. You can see it covered up for paint work.

Awesome, thank you. I think I will do the same thing.

Our buddy Brad Reikkoff from West Bend Dyno just sent me this picture of the KLRBRD engine in MSD's catalog for the Atomic EFI. Pretty cool.

Total Loss for this 69 Camaro

THIS IS NOT MY CAR (looks like it) but it sure pains me to imagine what the owner is going through right now.

A friend in our local North Texas Camaro club sent this picture out from his shop. Apparently a driver pulled out in front of this 69 Camaro and it was totaled. The car was only on the road for 3 days since being finished. It was a sweet build. LSA, DSE goodies custom interior. It was immaculate. The driver was injured with broken bones and bruises but is recovering. Really crappy story for a guy that put a bunch of time and money into this car.

I do give credit to the owner. He is looking to start over with another 69 so if you have a lead on a good 69 Camaro body, DSE or Roadster Shop chassis, let me know and I can connect you with the owner/builder.

That's so unfortunate. Looks like the roll car did it's job some what. Luckily no one was ridingpassenger and hope for a speedy recovery to the owner

Vince@Meanstreets 11-14-2014 12:06 PM

yikes!!! what hit him? a boat?

GrabberGT 11-14-2014 12:50 PM

Looks like he may have tried to miss the car that pulled out in front of him and ended up going sideways into a large pole of some kind. Traffic light maybe.

Just another one of those times where no matter how careful of a driver you are, you cant account for the other idiots out there. Hope he has a quick recovery.

Really sorry to see this. Was it someone I met while I was there?

I sure hope he has good insurance coverage, as starting over is going to be a big bill, and the other driver may not have sufficient coverage!

It does kind of look like a boat hit it now that you mention it. He ended up hitting a pole. Not sure how it all went down, losing control, swerving to avoid a head on, not exactly sure but makes my stomach hurt just looking at the pics. I totally agree with your comment Chris.

Bryan, it was not anyone you would have met. The car was not done yet. It took 6 months to build. They installed an LSA, had a full frame with some DSE parts, brand new paint job, new interior and a bunch of other updates. It was only on the road 3 days! I would be in jail if this would have happened to one of my cars. I too hope he and the guy that caused it have good insurance coverages. Not going to be cheap to repair.

When I scrolled down it gave me chills ! Glad he's going to be OK.
