Manifolds to get over 505 HP stock.

I have made over 900 HP with the Holley exhaust manifolds on a blower motors.

Both are good. The Holley’s fit the “look” of the engine bay better.

On season 1 episode 15 of Engine Masters they tested the Holley manifold against a mid and full length on a LS.

But for those that don’t have the capability of watching.

Thanks. I use those tri-y LS and LT manifolds on all the junk I build :). I find them on eBay for a couple of hundred dollars. Great value but they are a little ugly.

Hobbs Camaro (Old Drag Car)

What I learned on the Gen 5 Camaro Z/28 program is the LS7 works better if you keep the oil cool. This Earls oil cooler maybe a tad too big put I had it on the shelf. Im also using an Innovative Eng thermostat to regulate the temp. For a cruiser I chose the 210F thermostat.

You really want to get the oil temp up to 212F to help get the water out of the oil when you are just cruising around.

It required a little rework of of the header panel support.

Hi Mark,

Quick Question.

I am so torn with painting my Radiator and AC Condenser as I feel the paint always flakes off. Do you have any suggestions as what to use.

I’ve never had a problem, but I just had the Dutchboys paint them. Not sure on the process.

Would be great to see step by step on some of these impressive pieces. Guessing from the TIG filler rod in one picture on this one and watching other mods his preferred technique for pretty much all their work.

The average guy seeing the car won't notice any of these details.
