Very impressive indeed, every time you build a car I wonder how you will ever top it and somehow you continue to raise the bar.

I would be very curious (if you are willing to share) what your future plans include as I am sure you are already noodling ideas for the next project. Any plans to ever use a full frame or IRS?

Keep up the killer work as it is great inspiration for others.

Slick

That carbon fiber under the clear looks incredible. That will definitely help with the design portion of the OUSCI competition. Did you calculate how much weight came off the nose of the car with all the changes you made and the addition of carbon fiber over sheet metal?

Now you are just showing off  I used the DX-1 stripe on my latest build and it generates a lot of questions/compliments on the striping. It looks awesome with the carbon coming through. Excellent job by Joe and Paul.

Thanks Guys! The front clip turned out awesome. It has taken a ton of work to get it to that point but is 100% worth it. It really looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing it back on the car. Marks latest Camaro has to be the best one to date. Every time the next car comes around he seems to have a better creation bouncing around inside his head. I'm really happy we went with the DX-1 stripe on the car. The day the car came in the shop we started laying out different ideas for stripes. And this one just seemed to fit. Its something you don't see done very often and it really is a nice touch of the carbon without totally over doing it.

Here are a few shots of the front clip out getting some sun this afternoon.

If I was rich, I'd pay Stielow to build a Camaro for me. :G-Dub: There wouldn't be any question. Even better if I could pay him to build one with me so I could learn something, but I'm sure that would cost extra. :buttkick: Meh, I'd be a rich so it wouldn't matter.

Thanks Jeff! It looks awesome I can't wait till its back on the car. With the wheel finish and the other carbon on the car it really should be cool.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea with the winter that we had this year!

:confused59:

A tick more boost via a blueprinted blower and a slightly smaller pulley. Also a very good inlet tube and reworked blower inlet. On the exhaust side we corked it up to simulate full exhaust via flow restrictors. So I think we will clear 950 HP installed without much trouble. We also use 35 C intercooler water to be more real world. With chilled water we can clear a 1000 HP no problem? Mayhem was fast this should be even faster with more power, less weight, and more down force. If I can get it done!

Jr 08-10-2014 10:48 AM

Good god!

Is that still a 2.3L blower? 6 bolt heads?

Sieg 08-10-2014 11:22 AM

I rode in Mayhem. It's like an electric motor, very linear power, the harder you push the pedal the faster it goes. Absolutely amazing, and convinced me that my next build will be a blower.

My only ride in Mayhem was riding shotgun into Optima's SEMA booth. I couldn't believe how docile it was......might as well have been a Prius. Not exactly my ideal idea of a ride in that car though I was very impressed.

Though I guess it could have been GW's mad car control skillz. :sieg:
