Are you still going to drive it up here for Karma's home coming!? ;)

What did they do to the regulator/rails?

Funny you ask that today cuz my cousins in Portland just asked me yesterday to come up there soon and maybe bring the Camaro if it's ready. Mighty tempting.... when is the homecoming tentatively scheduled for?

Apparently the other guy had removed the FPR (and I believe he kept it) and had modified the rail somehow to use some kind of external regulator. I think he was working on a different plan after calling Aeromotive when I was going to run the A1000 externally. But then I sucked it up and bought the Rick's tank with internal Bosch and was just gonna run it how you and Don had it... I guess Holley is gonna send us a replacement for no cost, which is absolutely sweet!

I cannot recall exactly how the rail was modified or messed up. I have to ask Jason again, or maybe he can chime in here? paging Gearhead..... :D

The passenger side fuel rail on the Holley StealthRam was originally designed to have a fuel pressure regulator attached to it. The regulator is now gone, and the fuel railis crossthreaded where the FPR was previously located. It is an o-ring design, but a pipe thread plug has been forced into the hole making it so it will leak whichever way we choose to go.

Based on the way the engine bay is laid out, we prefer to replace the fuel rail (thanks Holley) so we can run the on rail style regulator. If it the threads weren't so bad, we'd just run an external regulator w/ bypass return back to the tank. Both ways have worked well for us in the past, so I've decided to go with the cleaner setup to keep aesthetics nice and cost down for ol' Dave. Plus, we had already commited to running fuel lines to the rails, and naively assumed that all was in good working order.....fittings & hoses are already built so since the setup fuels Mike P's ProCharged StealthRam with plenty to spare, we should be good here too!

Otherwise, all is good. Hopefully Lady Luck is on our side, and that hideous Murphy's Law and the gremlins from the previous work performed will stay at bay. Planning on blacking out the wheels, building the intercooler piping, exhaust & maybe eliminating the rear bumper over the next weeks or month.....;)

Thanks for the technical explanation, J. I guess that's why you are building the car and I am sitting at home twiddling my thumbs!

Wait a minute, doesn't posting in this thread give us the right to vote on running changes, even ones as minor as removing the rear bumper?! :unibrow:

Yes, my thoughts exactly! :D

Gotta try to save a few surprises (even minor ones) for the end, right? :_paranoid
